I believed my eyes were holes into the world and I was standing outside the world watching it kind of like when you watch a construction site through a little hole cut in the fence.
@Laura a little back story.....I grew up in the early 80s and had some "potheads" in my family....though they prefer the term hippie or free spirit lol Anyway, I had frequently heard the phrase "smoke pot" when referring to my uncle's favorite pasttime. so when I was little, I truly thought that when adults would say my uncle was "in his room, smoking pot" that he was in there with pots and pans and somehow smoking them lol mind you i was very young but i still have a good laugh about it whenever someone brings it up lol
When I was little I believed that I could be anything I ever wanted to be.
I was right.
My parents would live forever.
When I was little, I believed that I could really fly!
When I was little, I believed that I'm a secret agent and when I grew older I would be given missions to save people.
That in kindergarten, we would only plant gardens!
That Lactose Intolorable was pronounced lactose and tolerable
When I was little, I believed that there were crocodiles living in my grandparents backyard. Every winter there'd be this puddle that'd fill up, and my older cousins told us that there were crocs living in it.
The puddle was ankle deep and about 5 feet wide.
@Larsicorn I used to believe that there were alligators under my bed. But then again, I grew up in Florida, so that may have very well been true ;)
@Larsicorn When I was little I used to believe that if I smashed our TV screen, I'd be able to see and meet the cartoon characters and other TV personalities I was always watching. I even tried tapping the screen to see if they'd feel an earthquake or something lol
When I was little, I believed that my dad is my mothers father, and my mom is my fathers mother.
