Um, hello. I just joined today after a couple weeks of dealing with a breakup from a long-term relationship. I
Hello! I joined just this morning and I already love it so much. All the members I've met so far are so nice, I hope to meet many more from now on. I learned about this in a passing article and I got interested. I found that speaking to people online is much easier than speaking face-to-face so of course this website appealed to me very much, being a kind of chatting/therapy website. Hello to any others just joining and have a Happy New Year!

Hello!
Joining after months of various symptoms. What's terrible about my mental illness is that it is genetic so I'm going to be fighting it all my life. Parents refuse to get me help and I can't afford my own therapy, so here I am!
@CrystalBlue13
Hello, welcome and glad to have you joined!
I'm sorry to hear that parents are not helping you in order to find the support of a specialist as you may need.
I hope you can find here your safe-corner, look at all the sub-communities here and see if there is one that can interest you.
Take care!

I actually just now joined. I've had a mental illness for years that I've been avoiding. It took a traumatic event to REALLY unlesh the beast per se, but just wanted to stop by and say hello to everybody since I find that talking to people helps out tremendously. I've been through therapy, but I really do find that speaking with other people going through the same really does wonders. I'm a vey compassionate human, but am often overlooked,misjudged,etc... I won't go into detail right this second about my problems,but I'm just happy that I actually recognized said issues before things got way out of hand. Even more so than they already have.
Hello, I found this page on Google and after reading it i thought maybe I'd try it out since it's anonymous. I've never done anything like this before, but this time it's really bad and everyone in my life is too absorbed in theirs, which is fine, but I try talking to them and they brush me aside, dont really pay attention, or they think I'm making a mountain out of a mole hill. I've had depression all my life but only until about a year ago did I overcome it, or so I thought. I wear my heart on my sleeve and after swearing to never fall in love until after I spend some time focusing on myself, after 6 months keeping to that promise and feeling the happiest I've been for a long time, I met someone incredible but he lives 1,500 miles away from me. That's not a problem though. Everything is going so great. It's going so well that I'm waiting for something to go wrong, and I'm assuming that triggered my depression because I know something will eventually go wrong and there's this part of me that knows this is all a bad idea. It's just so hard and not fair. Why is life so easy for other people? Why wasn't I born equipped to deal with something as simple as emotions? It's a cruel joke. Idk I just have so many feelings and I'm alone even though I have a lot of friends, a huge family, idk I'm rambling again sorry. Well thank you for listening have a good day :)

It's ok to ramble- Sometimes that helps us sort out what is going through our minds!
Hello everyone . Apologies if this posts ywice. I joined after months of feeling isolated and alone even though I do have a wife and kids it's like they don't even notice how I feel and my worries. Hoping to find some people in this site to help me feel better. Also as I have low self estee. I also feel like I am wasting people's time or don't deserve to have happiness. Anyway sorry to ramble. Thanks for welcoming me and hoping that 2018 can be the year my life takes a turn for the better.
@gentleBalloon8792 its easy to feel invisible when were feeling low. This seems like a great place to come- theres no emotional connection and therefore perhaps a little less fear about speaking up? I just wanted to say that I understand that feeling and hope you feel some of the support that I have aready noticed people offer so freely here.
