Hello everyone, I am JaenTheCompanion. 🐙 I am thrilled to be on this platform to be able to provide a safe space for people to explore their thoughts and be that shoulder they can lean on. I love hearing peoples stories and being able to connect through experience's. I am currently doing the internship for college credit. Its cool because I get to help others, get college credit and I get to get an experience of a lifetime through this platform. I am currently pursing higher education and want to become a therapist someday.

@JaenTheCompanion Nice to "meet" you. It's wonderful you're pursing a career path you seem passionate about. I can relate as I too did the same and have several degrees under my belt in psychology, counseling, social work and addiction counseling. But as you may have or will learn, many therapists need or have a therapist. We must take care of ourselves to take care of others. That's why I always have loved the analogy of a plane and making sure to put your oxygen mask on first to then help other passengers. I think this applies to everyday life. Happy you're here and hope you're able to learn and apply that to your future endeavors.
Hello I'm new here. I'm here because I've been facing serious chronic medical conditions that along with the financial burden it's caused, has left me feeling overwhelmed. We are a family of five. My husband is a Wounded Warrior and my primary support system. My hope is to find coping skills to help the things I cannot change and adjust to my new normal.
