I went through an interview where they practically offered me the job. I have another interview with them on Monday. That was good, but it's overwhelming.

Everything seems to be going well. Since Monday is a holiday for us, there's no class, so I picked up an extra shift for my alternate work, meaning today is my 7th day of work. Usually, I'd only be working six days a week, and take Sundays off. I left an hour earlier yesterday, because I had to get to a dinner gathering. Something my family does every year, pre-Chinese New Year. As my Aunt's birthday follows the Lunar Calendar, which makes it the first day of Chinese New Years and we usually end up celebrating it with dinner treated by her daughter, my cousin. Every year, it's at the same restaurant, same set meal, three families, to celebrate both Aunt's birthday and Chinese New Year. By the time I arrived, they had just finished with the appetizer, soup. Left a bowl of it for me, it was already room temperature. So yesterday, I took Transit to work, as I'm not familiar with the road to drive myself. So, I called Uber to get there. It didn't take as long as I thought it would, there seems to be lesser cars on the road, maybe because it's a long weekend, many have gone for a weekend trip somewhere.
Looking forward to every new week, being an Instructor is fun. I can finally teach and share my experience and ways of how to work, how to be a team player, and follow the best practices in the department. As many of the staff has begun to cut corners, become lazy, and turn a blind eye on certain things.. I can use the staff as an example of what "not" to do.

My raise will be based partially on their feedback of me as an Instructor. So, must do well.

Wore my green shirt and a ring that's got pink stones.. supposed to be red, but I figured pink might work. My earphones are also red. We'll see how my year goes.
The feedback will be at the end of the class, so by end of April. I try to be more friendly to the students, as I want them to feel comfortable when I'm around. I feel if I were too strict, it might scare them away. So, I'm not sure if I set the boundaries straight enough.. as the Instructor vs Student. I feel like I should try and blend in more, I guess it also helps that our age differences isn't too much of a gap.
