I think my problem is that when I'm working, I'm basically functioning on adrenaline. So, I'm all excited and energetic, then during my ride home on the train, that is when I feel tired and sleepy. I've been going to bed before 10pm and falling asleep before midnight. Which is not good, because my biological body clock can only stay asleep for 6 hours. Meaning, the past couple of days, I'm waking up before 5am. Sometimes I wake up in between, like at midnight, or 2am, then up nearly 5am. While my alarm is set for 6am.
I'm not sure if this can change though, as my careers does provide me with excitement and when I'm full of passion for it, it's difficult to not be running on high-performance.
Sometimes I feel I'm working 7 days a week, as one my day off on Sundays, I'm still doing paperwork for class, or doing some online courses for the other work.
Any suggestions in how I can treat myself better with self-care?
@Jaeteuk
After such a fast paced, energetic day, I can totally understand how the train ride home tends to be when it all catches up to you and leaves you feeling exhausted.
It sounds like that's affecting a good sleep cycle for you. You may want to consider what your ideal wake up time would be and how you can work towards that goal. Sleep hygiene is important, however it also has to be able to work with your schedule and situation. I hope you'll look into what options make the most sense for you.
Self care choices are often quite personal and they're not "one size fits all." What works well for one person might not be a good fit for you.
What are your self care goals?
That can help inform which self care practices you can best incorporate into your schedule and lifestyle. I'm happy to help you brainstorm some ideas.
With my sleep, I'm doing okay. Since I can only sleep for six hours, with my alarm going off at 6am, I usually keep myself awake, latest until 1am.
As for self-care, for my only day off on Sundays. I do not set an alarm, and I'm already using my time to catch up on dramas and spend it at home, comfortably in my computer room. But I feel, mentally, I am not resting.
@ShadowFaerie
I had a good week. Got to spend time with my family, true quality time, good good, drinks, good atmosphere, I needed the change of scenery as I was exhausted from not being able to switch up my routine 🤗🩷
This week made me feel a rush of emotions. I'm about to move to another state. I'm also about to start a new job. So my emotions are nervous, weak, anxious, grateful, afraid, tired, rested, on and on.
@purpleTree4652
Wow, a new job and a move out of state? I'm not surprised that you're feeling a lot of emotions. Those are big changes! Even positive changes can be quite stressful, so try to be gentle with yourself during this time. Think about what self care practices will help you feel grounded and bring you comfort. Wishing you all the best things as you embark on this new adventure!

@ShadowFaerie
The week was quite eventful and the weekend is ridiculously eventful lol.

Good luck in the exams 🩵🤗
@Amanda84 thanks 🙏🏻
@trueconfidant123
Exam time can be very stressful, especially when you have more than one to prepare for at once. Wishing you much luck and success with your exams as well as adequate rest and recharge time for both body and mind while you're preparing! You got this 💕

@ShadowFaerie

@ShadowFaerie
This week was nonstop busy and quite stressful! I'm thankful for the weekends to recharge my battery and rest! Trying to take care of myself to keep my mind healthy and positive when my body feels exhausted.
I hope everyone has an amazing upcoming week!
I sent an improtsnt email to the new owner to host a meeting so all of the business owners will be on the same page. I was the only one out of all of them who took action.
@SweetRice
Good for you for taking that initiative! It sounds like you're on top of things, organizing, and helping your community of business owners with the new owner.

Thanks :3
