@BpdGirl9

This is often the theme ... did your partner act like they would be more helpful and such when you became a Mom?

@BpdGirl9 It's not fair to have to bear the brunt of the responsibility while also dealing with attitudes from your partner. Your feelings are completely valid, and it's important to acknowledge the imbalance and address it. Equality in parenting responsibilities is crucial, and your partner should be willing to step up and share the load. You're doing an amazing job, and you deserve support and recognition for all that you do. If you need someone to talk to or support, I'm here for you.

assuming you’re a SAHM… as a girl who works in corporate with mainly married men (which i hate) i can kind of understand why many men act this way. i’m a full-time corporate working women who doesn’t want any children. the thought of having to leave stressed from work everyday to come home to my second job of being a full time parent would drive me insane. sorry if my post wasn’t helpful in any way, but maybe you’d be a little understanding

Thank you for sharing. It sounds like things have been very challenging and overwhelming.

Being a mother requires both nurturing and responsibility . As a parent you won’t always get it right and sometimes it’s difficult to come to terms with this. I can hear you are putting a lot of hard work into your duties and role.

About your communication with your partner it can be good to reflect on what both of your communication styles are like. How do you both approach conflicting situations ? Have you both ever experienced a challenge that you both worked on together ? If not it maybe beneficial to have a chat with your partner. What do you both do to indicate you are putting up a boundary and wanting to talk?

@BpdGirl9 it can be tough dealing with a partner who has different parental views than you. I am currently separated from my partner, and I only speak to him when it has to do with medical issues or the children's school. It was difficult when we were together, b/c he had different discipline methods than I did, and I didn't agree with them. Now that I have the children the majority of the time, it is a lot easier on that front.

Being a parent puts a strain on any relationship. And I understand how frustrating it is for you. The best advice I have is to talk about expectations and goals for your child, and see where you guys can make compromise.
