Relentless Compassion

Hello everyone and good afternoon. I just wanted to come on here and speak on something that I have taken a notice too. The other night, I was scrolling on another social media because I was bored. I noticed that there were a lot of older-generation women being quite rude. Now, before I get into this not all of the older-generation women are bad, it was just the ones that I saw, and what they were doing was cruel.
As women, we have come a long way from suppression, and facing things that none of us had to endure throughout those periods. However, this woman tried to tell me that my "compassion was misplaced" for being kind and loving to someone who was within the LGBTQ+ community. This upset me initially, because of her statement how she was deflecting and questioning my boundaries.
Then as I woke up this morning, it came to my mind. Of course, many are still healing their wounded inner child, because for some healing/recovery meant they were oddish or looney and did not deserve to have anyone around them. Which is very cruel thought of those people back then, but that is how things were. Women were not allowed to think, be smart, hold any opinion, or have any compassion for anything other than those under the roof.
This thought process then brought me to I wonder how many of our grandmothers are still healing their inner child even to this day?

I'm 71 years old so I could be the woman you were talking to or one of the grandmothers you're thinking of. But I am and have always been allowed to think, I am smart, I have opinions and I have a lot of compassion for things outside my roof. So all of us older women are not rude!

@InsightfulPhoenix Its a shame :( Kinda makes you feel like its a bit of revenge going on there for some folk "we did not have the platform then but its unfair you get the platform"
It is a shame because I feel for those that are rude to others for the platforms that are developed to achieve new things, thank you for your input! @Goldenrulejg
