A good lifestyle, schedule and healthy options to your meals do make a difference! It keeps you accountable, and on a routine, with time to relax too! As someone with ADHD, it is a little hard to stick to those things, as you have to be accountable for your own schedule, diet, sleep, and workout plans. I really enjoy utilizing apps, like the ones that let you water flowers as you drink 8oz, to help with keeping me motivated. I bring someone along for my workouts, making it a usual routine they expect and keep me stuck to as well. They definitely do make a difference, keeping yourself with usual things on your plate makes you more prepared to live life inbetween those points, and a sense of familiarity and control in what you can do with ADHD.
