Bio
Hey there, Welcome to 7CoT,
Someone once told me to expect the unexpected, and I did. I'm a strong, independent 24 year old female in Australia. As I've always said, I'm a daughter, sister, a friend, but above all I'm human just like you, my blood is as red as yours, and my pain as heart felt as yours. In a short time I've lived a long long life. Today, I'm proud to say I'm a survivor of Childhood Sexual Abuse. They may have taken the pieces of my body, but they did not take the fight out of this girl.
I'm a Master of Counselling student, a volunteer here at , a writer, a poet and a newly inititted Gym Rat. Music, movies, reading, writing, exploring, and learning these are just a few of my favorite things. Currently, I won't be online as much as I'd like as I'm in Uni, working, and like I mentioned writing my first ever book, "The Secret Within." Yay, me! In lie of expecting the unexpected, it was a few years ago I found 7cot in my search to be close to someone, anyone who was like me, and this community is one of the most heart warming communities to be a part of. I'm priveledged to be a Listener, and priveledged to have been a part of so many stories, so many journey's and so many lives.
If we connect, do remember I'm a human, I'm a person and have needs to. Don't treat me like someone lesser, cause I'd never do that to you. Here I'm your friend, your confidant, your someone's shoulder to cry on, but most of all, I'm there with you, you are NOT alone.
Maybe you'll come past my profile and send out a request for a chat, and maybe you will merely pass my profile on your way to another's. Both ways, I'd like to offer you my support through some quotes which have inspired me and allowed me to chose life, to fight and to keep myself afloat when life is pushing me down. Cheers to you, hope I see you soon!
"Do not go back and be the person you were yesterday, go forward and become the person you wan to be tomorrow." - Myself
"At this moment, there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just now facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world. Six billion souls. And sometimes, all you need is one."
"Be not afraid of greatness. Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and others have greatness thrust upon them.”
― William Shakespeare
If I'm online, then please feel free to start a chat.. I try to keep to 1-3 chats at the same time so If you've sent me a personal request and I am unable to respond, I will try to get back to you if you drop me a message! If I'm offline, then send me a message and we can set up a time to connect. Glad you are here, can't wait to connect with you!
She.
She looks into the mirror staring longingly
Waiting, watching hoping to find someone you see
That someone she looks for, she wishes had a name
That someone she years for cause intense pain.
Every few night she lies away
Her emotions churning, motions fake
She prays to someone to make this right
Tears roll down, her eyes squeezed tight
The monster not hidden but in plain sight
She him for mercy with all her might
He pushed and he pulled her apart
Now she lays open, awaiting a new start
She begs for forgiveness, for his every touch
Pleads and urges cause she knows it too much
His hands on her body taking pieces away
She knees to the floor having nothing to say
Each tear she she’s she knows he has won
The war’s not over, it had just begun
Scars they lay hidden deep inside
She stares at the world through broken eyes
Each waking moment she puts on a smile
Hidden deep with her, turmoil lies inside
From her body she pleads urgent release
She’s stuck, but its’ not hers you see.
Every touch, every stroke, every word he said
It lingers, it falters, it teases her head.
Tears roll down cheeks fearful to smile
For she hasn’t been truly happy in a while
Her memories she mulls on of warm childhood days
Of loving arms in which she would play
Of safety and trust and innocent mind
She knows not the life she left behind.
He used her and left her like last night’s trash
He lift her up, but didn’t stay for the crash
She avoided the mirror everyday
She hated the scars that didn’t fade away
Her clothes they lay torn, tossed aside
She no longer cowers, no longer hides
He left her exposed, took pieces away
But each night she awaits a new day
Her skin she cut, blood flows through her veins
Blood all around her as she released the pain
Tears she cried, long, silent release
She rocks back and forth awaiting peace
The tears she cries for pain hidden away
She pics up the pieces awaiting each day
He pushed her down, pushed her to hide
Then she got up and pushed him aside
She walks in the shadows, she walks head held low
Her pain and scars she tries to show
He left her exposed, raw pen and wide
She put back the pieces and now does smile
She looks int the mirror and stares longingly,
She smiles and laughs at that someone she sees
That someone has a name, that someone is strong
That someone was her, it was her along.
