Hi! I'm Laake, 27. They/Them & Neopronouns. I'm into anything creative really, but mostly writing and drawing. I'm also into animation and animals. My favorite movies are Tangled, the Spiderverse series, Moana, and the first two Pokemon movies. My favorite game is Pokemon: Alpha Sapphire and my favorite book is Of Fire and Stars by Audrey Coulthurst. Will talk about Gravity Falls and Ducktales (2017) forever if you let me.

...See more So for the past week now, he has been having all sorts of mood swings and it's accumulated today to him yelling, throwing things, and punching walls. My mom says it's because he knows he's dying soon, and she wants me to move out so I dont have to be around it, fair, I don't want to be around it either, but she's also refusing to leave because she's 'the only one that can take care of him'. I don't want her to have to deal with this, especially alone. Is there anything I can do?

...See more Curious on what y’alls perspective is on this because I don’t and I can’t put in terms why (besides potentially misgendering people I don’t know). All I know is it makes me uncomfortable, and I know that’s a good enough reason to not use them, but I’m around someone who doesn’t understand why I don’t and it would be helpful to be able to explain it. I’m also just curious in general and would love to hear y’alls thoughts!

...See more I am stressed. I am tired and I am stressed. If I take a couple of seconds to answer him, I'm ignoring him. If I give him an answer he doesn't want, he shuts the conversation down. If I give him what he does want, he still eventually has a problem with something. It's like no matter what I do I can't win, he always has something to say. And this is just the surface of the problems with him. I can't do this anymore. I don't care what he has to say, but it's hard to ignore him when he doesn't stop talking.

Does anyone have tips that could help me out? (Besides just sitting down and writing because my brain just does not like doing that for some reason.)

...See more I want to start by saying that my Mom is amazing and very supportive and not at all the problem here. It's her husband. I moved in with the two of them about a year and a half ago, due to a previous bad living situation (and just missing seeing her every day). And things were alright at first, but the longer I've been here the less tolerance I've had for him. He constantly uses my deadname and old pronouns and is just generally subtly queerphobic. He is the type of person who does not listen to you if he doesn't agree with you and will try to guilt-trip you if you upset him, I don't believe communication would do anything here.  There are other issues I've had but these are the most prominent, and it's gotten to the point where I can't even look at him without getting annoyed. I'm tired of being angry all the time and it's only getting worse. Does anyone have any advice? (Besides moving out and my mom leaving him, neither are going to happen for different reasons.) Happy to provide more information if anyone needs it.
