...See more Today me and my friends had our maths exam. We were all in different classes. After the exam me and two of my friends were waiting for my other friend (we will call her X) but she didn't show up so we left. While waiting at the lights another friends came running over and she said that she was in X's class and that X had had a seizure and was taken to hospital (she had never had a seizure before or anything like it). A little bit later me and my friends texted X's mum asking if X was ok. She replied later saying that X was ok and the doctors were going to do some tests to see what was wrong. This really scared me. I have constantly been worrying about X since I found out. I have needed to study for my next exam tomorrow morning but I haven't been able to focus.

...See more So I have been seeing my first therapist for about a few months now. My mum got an email the other day saying that my therapist is leaving the place she works and I can either keep seeing her (I'm not sure exactly how, maybe if she works at another company?), or I can see a new therapist at the same place, or i can just not see anyone anymore. I don't know what to do and I don't know how long I have to make a decision. I have really bad social anxiety and I find it hard to talk to my therapist. I don't know if she is helping me heaps or if she is a really good therapist because I have never seen anyone else. If someone could give me some advice that would be great.

...See more I have told my friends about my anxiety but other than when I first told them we haven't really talked about it. So they don't know how I really feel all the time. Sometimes they make fun of me but I don't think they are trying to be mean. Today one of my friends (we will call her L) was telling another one of my friends (we will call her M) about something I had done earlier in the day. I was using my pen to point to each word because I was proof reading, but I was using the clicky end. Once I had realised that it could be really annoying for some people I asked L if it was annoying she said yes and so I stopped. When L was telling M about it she exaggerated the truth, she said that I had been proof reading and that I was clicking my pen for each word for like a whole page before I stopped and asked if it was annoying, when in reality I was only doing it for a few lines. Anyway, after L had finished telling M about it I went quiet, and I felt my face going red. M realised that what L had said had made me upset, and she told L that. I dont think L was trying to be mean to me but I just dont think she or any of my friends know when what they are saying is going to make me upset. They might think that what they are saying is funny but whenI hear it I take it serious and thenit really hurts me. The point of this is that I want to know how to talk to my friends about my anxiety (social and general).

...See more My mum made an appointment for me with a therapist for my anxiety. Thus will be my first time going to one. I am really nervous about it. Can anyone tell me what it's like going to a therapist for the first time?

...See more I think I have anxiety. Everynight before I go to sleep I think about moments and tell my self that that was anxiety, that's why I acted the way I did. I often will go to sleep in tears just thinking about moments some that were ages ago but I still think about them. I don't have anyone to talk to about it. I was camping with my friends afew weeks ago, just before christmas. We were making pasta for lunch on a gas stove, I often over worry when people are cooking on stoves. I freaked to much, was grating cheese in the tent trying to keep my self distracted because I know how had I can get when all I have to think about is the stove. At one point I couldn't see anyone watching the stove and I freaked I got up and took the cheese over to a bench a little bit away I could still see the stove. After that my anxiety took over I just continued to think about it for the rest of the day, I wasn't happy anymore, I had turned sad and my friends had noticed it. When I feel like that I often like to have a hug normally with my parents, but since they weren't with us I thought I could have one with my friend. So I gave one of them a hug. Later that night when we were all in bed somehow the conversation changed and I had said something about me hugging one of them. They wanted to know why I had been acting sad earlier, they asked my what's wrong But I couldn't answer, I ended up giving them clues to lead them to anxiety, all while I was scared they were going to guess it right any moment so I had my face in my pillow and I was crying. I was giving letters to spell it out, I was reluctant to give them the "x" because I thought that it would give it away, I was right once I had said it they thought about it for a while then when someone said it I just froze, i didn't say yes or no, eventually I nodded. We talked about it for a while, it felt great talking to someone about what I could only talk to me self about, but we soon realised the time and decided that we should go to sleep, they said we would talk about it again in the morning. In the morning we didn't talk about it, and we didn't talk about it again for the rest of the camping trip. Now after a few weeks it is still the holidays so I haven't seen any of them for a long enough time to talk about it, mainly because I was scared to bring the topic up. I feel like I have gone back to having no one to talk to but this time people know, so I think about it they think about it. My family don't know that I think I have anxiety. How do I bring the topic up when I am with my friends? How can I let my family know that I think I have anxiety?
