Today is a bit sad for me, today I go to a celebration of life for a friend Nadene. She was a victim of Domestic Violence and this article was in my email.
Domestic Violence just does not happen to women, Men can also be victims to this. It affects everyone children also.
So I thought this maybe helpful in understanding this topic.
Here is a toll free number for Domestic Viloence and it is for everywhere 24/7. If you are a victim or know someone please be there and support them when they reach out,

Checking in. Feeling very anxious today. My anxiety is disproportionate to the level of stress I have, I think. I won’t go into the details, but a simple summary is that having four adult children living with us is not where we expected to be at this age. Thought some of them would’ve moved out by now. And some of them are dealing with their own mental health struggles. Life can be a little challenging. But I don’t think I can really complain. They’re all good people, getting along the best they know how. Anyway. Thanks for giving me a place to check in.
@Songstress
Thank you Song, for sharing that with us here.
@pamharley003 I am sorry for your loss. It is so sad when someone leaves and does not get the chance to say goodbye.
No one should have to go through abuse. No one.
THanks for the support number. Hugs.
@soulsings

@pamharley003 thank you for your great kindness
@pamharley003 I lived all of these. I'm so glad I got out of there.
As May approaches I get more lonely, angry sad and every other emotion. My dad died at the end of May 14 years ago and it still bothers me. Not really him dying but how and what I saw. I didn't know why but when the doctor's gave him morphine to help him and took him off life support I watched him slowly succumb to death. I watched the life and light go out. Watching someone die is a horrible experience that causes me a lot of pain everyday. I can't unsee his face and eyes and how sad they were that he knew it was over. But I stayed and watched. I maybe felt I didn't want him to be alone since everyone else went out to cry and grieve. I feel that the last of my empathy died that night as well. I lack empathy to anything and anyone now. That's a horrible way to live as well.
@DuelingFatty I am sorry for the loss and the sad memory you have. The loss of a parent I found to be very difficult to come to terms with. It took me 5 years but everyone is different in how they grieve and how long.
I had to reinvent myself because I was no longer satisfied trying to live to meet what he would accept. When I finally let go I felt able to do my secret dreams that I had always kept locked away.
All the best to you.
