Not Mother's Day here yet. In uk it's 24th I think or 21st. Why on 9th is it Mother's Day? The year started different to how the days fall in month

Good point. Not all countries celebrate on the 9th of May but many do.
In my country is the first Sunday of May, so we already had a great Mother's Day :D

Mother's Day was in March in the UK. It's always been a tricky one for me ( my mother was in a hospital bed most of my childhood and didn't do any mothering... Choosing a card each year was hard in the sea of "Thanks for always being there" messages). This year was particularly hard... I miscarried this year and the week of mother's Day was my due date and the anniversary of mum's death (The universe has cruel scriptwriters!) There's so much pressure put on by holidays like this, it can be so triggering.

I wish you would not have had to go through such hard times, sorry for the loss of your mom but also of part of your childhood . Noone can really understand what women go through when having a miscarriage unless they suffered it on their own. I can only imagine the pain you had to bear and hope coming here will help you to cope
