Hi there--im 43 years old and not a typical 40 somethinger at all. Im single, never married, have no children, and dont own a home. Most of these things dont interest me. I look about 10-15 years younger than i actually am....and I love to travel and basically just take care of myself both mentally and physically. I wont go back to school cause i think for the field that i want to study will not pay off for me----i think its better and much much cheaper to just educate myself. i recently broke up with my gf of almost 5 years recently and since then ive just been meeting and dating lots of fun and attractive girls. its really exciting and fun after being in a dead end relationship for so long with a girl who pretty much just stopped taking care of herself---she gained alot of weight when we were together and stopped trying to look pretty and nice for me, and then she lost her job and asked me to marry her----to take care of her financially. ick. im ranting and rambling now so im gonna go now lol...hope to chat with more of you. bye!

Hi - I'm in my 40s. Age never bothered me until 40... I don't care for it! Never felt old in my 30s!
1. I'm married to a very kind man and we have 2 amazing children, one boy, one girl.
2. I love to write and have written several novels that I'm afraid to let anyone read. None of them are truly finished -- I always have a problem with the ending because the characters become such a huge part of my life that I have trouble letting them go.
3. I have made all of the wedding invitations, birthday party invitations, and many holiday cards for my whole family for years. I love designing things and everyone seems happy with my work.
Glad to find this forum. I was beginning to think I was the only 40+ person on the whole site!
Hi, I'm 44.
1) my 18 daughter recently told me she is pregnant. I'm not ready to be a grandma yet; I was excited to finally have freedom to start living my life now that's she's 18, but will now have to help raise another child alone.
2) I'm currently in a relationship that is troubled, but we are both learning from our mistakes and hopefully on the path to a stable future. I believe we truly love each other and will get thru our rough patches.
3) I suffer from anxiety and jealousy and panic attacks. I am ashamed to admit that I'm emotionally abusive to those I love. I'm thankful I found this site because I've been able to express myself here and get up the courage to start therapy.
