I just turned 48 and my, how time flies! I left a corporate career two years ago - completely burned out and unhappy - and Im now working in a field I truly enjoy. I also volunteer at an animal shelter. I have a wonderful husband and two dogs. I also have a stepson and three grandchildren who live in another US state.

Hi everyone!! 45 year old female here learning what it's like to be single. Learning what it means to love myself and except myself for who I am. Anyone else feeling single and old and not knowing where to go from here? After a 20+ marriage ending with infidelity and just out of a 2 year LDR relationship where I thought I had finally found my soul mate only to find out it wouldn't work is a little scary for me.
@brightAvocado3528 Married 26 years and right now I am trying do decide if I should stay or go. I know if I go I will be alone but right now I feel alone and it's hard knowing that if I go I am throwing away 26 years of marriage. I have on true friend and she keeps me grounded and I think thats how I am making it.
@ChrisG1971 I know how you feel. It's those decisions that you know are going to drastically alter your existence as you know it that are the scariest. All I can say is that you have to do what is best for you. Know your worth and know what you will and will not accept. Love yourself enough to know what it is you truly deserve!! Hugs to you!!

@NE1 I hear you...it's so hard goimg through what you're going through, but the pain doesn't ladt forever. Surround yourself with the people that love you and have your best interests at heart. We are all here for you as well. Hugs!!

Im a 44m and working through the process of a divorce—the emotional and logistical. I am honestly fighting isolation, depression, and anxiety. I am fighting the feelings of failure which I understand are not really true, but they are feelings I am fighting. I am not sure how to trust the world.
@NE1 Hello, I am asuming your spouce cheated on you. I am in the middle of trying to decide if I should leave my wife or not. Not that I have cheated I just feel I need isolation but I to have anxiety & depresion. It's good to talk though I know it helps me out a lot.
