@honestPrune6890 Hi I just turned 45. It must be hard living in a different country than your family and totally understand the feelings of not having achieved full potential but I realized sometimes it's ok just to be where one is at and not be affected by what others set as accomplishment.

Hi. 44. Tired, old, fat, ugly.... tired... I've never liked myself. Since I can remember. A sibling found it as a task in his life to point out any of my flaws, in public. "You are ugly, awkward, you will never have a girlfriend, or a friend". I withdrew to myself. Turned out he was right for the most part.
Anyway, just wanted to ask - how do you learn to love yourself? How do you learn to stop caring what others think of you?
Because I know it's what I should do. I don't know how.

Hello! I am a fellow single mom of a teenager. Mine will be 16 this summer. He's a really good kid, but like you, I often worry about my parenting. Thank you for your work in the hospital... I would be insanely stressed and anxious. We just went to Walmart yesterday, the first time going anywhere other than doctor's appointments in over a year. I feel lucky and grateful to be so safe, but the isolation hasn't been good.
