Hi Everyone i'm Ali and i'm 45. RIpe old middle age haha

i and lucky enough to stay home to parent my son who is 10. in recent years this has been great because with parents getting older and ill and needing more attention i've been able to be there. it's tough growing older ourselves and watching our parents become more and more dependent on us.

Happy to talk to anyone who needs an ear. i'm sidelined from my skating which i love since i sprained my ankle and didn't look after it. stubborn fool i am sometimes. :) Have a great Thursday

Soon it will be 12 years since I turned 40, it is a bit alarming that I do not recall much about turning 40, a total blank. I have 2 kids, that seem to be doing well, despite the errors thier mother and I made. I always seem to focus on thier negatives, like not cleaning up after themselves or pitching in to help. I know they have positive attributes, but I think I always focus on things to improve. My wife sees this very differently, she thinks I ignore the good and focus on the bad. Which is technically true, but if your mindset is always on fix and improve then that is where your attention falls. I wash the dirty dishes and not stare at the clean ones in admiration, which is odd as a clean kitchen is a pleasant thing to me. Sorry I got off on a tangent, just seen this blank space and put thoughts in it. Have a great day.

So I turn 43 in April. I made it to just 14 years with my partner and then it started to really implode with new rules and became evident that I would have to leave. Valentines was hard, even though I'm the one that left. It was a bad situation that everyone could see except me. I think I'm going to have a long period of being single so I know who I am by myself again. Where I go is using a mental health grant while I struggle to get funding by the state.

I like the music group Plumb, the TV show Grimm, and all things Harry Potter. I'm not above K-dramas or anime, and I'm trying to eat more healthy.

Hello! I'm 44 and still learning about life. It is a neverending process. I hope to be able to interact with some people here. It can be lonely in a world without understanding and compassion. We can lean on each other to make it through one day at a time.

Hi. Recently entered the new decade. My life looks nothing like I thought it would, but I've had my time to grieve and now I feel grateful for what I do have in my life and what I can still do. Old enough now to know better about a lot of things. Young enough to know it's not too late to start new things.
