Finding God, and myself
Hello
I’m 44, divorced with kids. I’ve been alone for 8 years. Isolated. Lost. And spiraling. I live in a city where I know nobody. No friends. No family here.
I’m on my journey to find Christ and it’s very hard. Will I be alone forever? Will I ever make friends again? Will I ever find myself again. Or, will I simply exist, until I don’t?
I have so much love to give. But, outside of my kids, nobody to give it to.
I feel as though I’ve forgotten even how to live. I work. I sit. I sleep. I repeat. With no tangible desire to go out and meet people or build a new circle.
Childhood trauma has undoubtedly caused me much strife in my adult life. So, here I am. Hoping I can find people that can speak confidence and life back into me.

Hi, thank you so much for sharing and being so open ❤️
I'm sorry so sorry that you are struggling.
I know it is really hard but remember you're not alone, this community here is a reminder that you are deserving of love, kindness and companionship ☺️
Thank you for being so strong 🙌❤️❤️❤️
I know its tough being alone and not having a direction and am happy you made the effort of reaching out to others. The weight of life is often too heavy to be carried alone and we all need support from each other.
I feel its possible to undo the impact of traumas on us and reshape our lives in meaningful way. Go at your pace and be true to yourself. Appreciate all the good youve done and the positives youve been blessed with. I hope you continue to foster friendships on the digital platform and a window opens for real life acquaintanceships too.
Keep us posted on updates from your end. Sending refreshing and calming energies your way <3

Hii, I would love to support
@LoneLion444
You are so welcome here, LoneLion. I hope you find some embrace of understanding in places exactly like this thread. I'm glad you're reaching out.
I do hear how lonely and isolated you feel right now and how it's so hard to know how to get out from under this cloak that... muffles you? That's a really difficult place to be. I can relate to that in my own way, honestly, and I know there are plenty of others who can also. You are not alone. I don't know if that helps.
I can't possibly know what would help you the most (I'm not even sure that's what you're really looking for) but I will observe that your being here is something real; tangible. You are taking an active step toward something even if you haven't recognized it. You may have more answers inside yourself than you think.
A Listener might support you if that felt helpful to you. We listen. We hear. We can offer support - and that includes (if you want it to) support exploring for yourself how to get from where you are to where you want to be.
I hope that you will will find something you need here, Lonelion. I send you HOPE.
-Sophia

But remember you are not alone the community is here for you always
To make you remember that you deserve all the love and confidence
@LoneLion444 Hey I’m here late night can’t sleep found myself here and saw your post and thought like this person is living in the same stuck feeling as I am having trouble always standing fast to my faith it’s hard when things are lik this feel lik this so I guess his told me to tell you I’m here for you.
Thank you for sharing this so honestly. I hear how heavy and lonely this has been for you.
8 years is a long time to carry this alone. The fact that you’re still searching, still wanting to give love, and reaching out here says so much about your heart.
I’m praying you find both community and peace on your journey with Christ. You’re not just “existing” — the fact that you have love to give and that you posted this proves you’re still very much alive in there.
You deserve people who speak life back into you. And for what it’s worth, you spoke life into me just by being this real.
I’m rooting for you.
@LoneLion444 Hey, Im 41 and in the same exact boat as you. I live in colorado. Anyways Ide love to chat.
@LoneLion444 In a similar place as far as the loneliness goes. Feels like there’s an epidemic of true community. Also on a Christian journey. The vices I used to run to are tempting but not appealing anymore. Feel like Im in no mans land just wondering what reason God has for me to be here.
