Finding God, and myself
Hello
I’m 44, divorced with kids. I’ve been alone for 8 years. Isolated. Lost. And spiraling. I live in a city where I know nobody. No friends. No family here.
I’m on my journey to find Christ and it’s very hard. Will I be alone forever? Will I ever make friends again? Will I ever find myself again. Or, will I simply exist, until I don’t?
I have so much love to give. But, outside of my kids, nobody to give it to.
I feel as though I’ve forgotten even how to live. I work. I sit. I sleep. I repeat. With no tangible desire to go out and meet people or build a new circle.
Childhood trauma has undoubtedly caused me much strife in my adult life. So, here I am. Hoping I can find people that can speak confidence and life back into me.

Thank you for sharing 💛
For being open.
And honest.
I'm sorry you are struggling and have lost your confidence.
And don't do anything much outside of work.
It's important to not forget, you are deserving of love, affection and companionship.
You are a good father.
A good person and it's possible to heal 💛

May you find happiness. You sound like a good man and a good father.
I know this is going to sound weird, but I wish I was living like you right now- work, sit and sleep. I wish I was living that kind of life instead of mine. I am drowning in depression from pet loss and worrying about my second oldest dog. I love them so much, but love comes with pain. I am in so much pain. I didn't think about this at the beginning. If I could do it all over again, I would move to a new place and just focus on work and never meet my pets so I couldn't fall in love with them. I also sometimes wish I experienced getting married and having kids when I was younger. Even if it might end in divorce, I'd rather experience it. Instead, I am 40 years old drowning in depression and alone. I am also a woman so it's too late for me.
I hope I didn't offend you in anyway.
Christ is within yourself....don't search outside..MAY GOD BLESS U and your kids
@LoneLion444 Hello sorry you're feeling this way. Its good to know that you're seeking Christ.
I my life completely changed when I lost my left arm in October of 2023.
The LORD has been my peace and hope
Peace to you.

Hello.
You said that you have a lot of love, and you want to give your love to your children, and you also want to find a new partner to bestow your love upon.
But wait. Do your children truly feel the love their father gives them? Try asking them.
Furthermore, why do you have such a strong need to give love to others? Deep down in your heart, is there another motive, such as wanting to receive attention or care from someone else?
Next, don't you find it contradictory that if you are a person full of love, why do you feel lost, empty, and lonely? Something is wrong here.
Try answering this question:
- Have you truly known how to love yourself properly?
- Have you found your true value?
- What is the meaning of your role in coming to this world?
Wishing you find the answer soon, so that you can learn to love yourself more.
Sincerely.

God is your strength and he will see you through.Amen 🙏
@LoneLion444 do you belong to a church? Perhaps look into activities that your church may sponsor or know about
@LoneLion444 Hi! I just want to say I pray the Lord reveals himself to you! I can only imagine how difficult it must be. I am a Christian but have been struggling in my faith journey as well lately. I pray you are able to find a good community where you are to help support you! Thank you for sharing your story!

You are on the right path, seeking Jesus through one of the hardest times in your life. 🙏❤️ Remember, love is not only about loving others, but also loving yourself. ❤️ When you feel this way, stop, breathe, open up to the people around you, even if it feels difficult or talk to Jesus. 🙏 Ask Him why, when, and how.
I say this as someone who constantly battles with Jesus over my own cross and hardships, and yet finds solace in Christ, and only Christ. ✝️❤️🩹🙏. Look 💙💙💙
