Just Turned 38. Help!

I just turned 38 recently and am at a total loss and looking for help around how to navigate when life is something no longer to live but to endure.

The exciting and taken-for-granted growth years have been replaced with a vast stretch of nothingness. Dreams and hopes are now dust and ash in my mouth.

Any insights or information about how to navigate this time is appreciated. I could just be in a slump but it seems to have been going on for years.

@communicativePond1728   Hi. okay. im only 17 so i still have my dreams well withen my reach, and havent experienced as much life as you have, but i do have some wisdom to share.

first of all, just because life gets in the way and suddenly being responsible is the only thing you can really do, dosent mean you cant still work towards your dreams. it could take longer, but giving up on your dreams honestly is the first step to loosing your spark for life. when you dont have anything to look forward to each day, life becomes bland, tasteless, and paraphrasing what you said: like sand in your mouth.

keep working towards your dreams. your relatively still young, so still take advantage of that. i obviously dont know what your life situation is, but it seems like your stopping YOURSELF from pursuing your goals simply cause you have stereotyped yourself as older, with responsibilities piled high and goals seemingly out of reach now. I honestly think your scared of your age because you are well aware of the fact that the longer you wait, the less likely that your "something" will happen.

But dont be afraid, or let your age stop you just because your coming on 40. I dont know what your dreams are, but im sure their achievable. you just have to put in the effort. i know life isnt all rainbows and sparkly unicorn poo. but stay motivated and tell yourself you CAN do it. when you tell yourself you cant do something, your setting that limit on yourself...making it so you really cant. but when you say you can, you really can do it. just takes a little self belief.

i know your probably all "omg this 17 year old giving me life advice that isnt even that good" but i hope this helped lol :D
