Hello,

fellow insomniac here!

Here are some things that help me: Cold room, phone away from bed, a non caffeinated cup of herbal tea. 💛💫

@ambitioushope1234 Sorry to hear this. Insomnia is in this house as well. I feel your struggle. Some ideas: sticking to a sleep schedule every day (same time to bed, same time up), writing before bed (to get thoughts off your mind), keeping electronics away from the room you are sleeping, no caffeine at all (or only caffeine before noon each day), cold room, exercise during the day, Good Luck in your sleep journey.

I feel sorry for anybody who suffers from insomnia 😔 I take meds at night that make me tired, so I sleep alright.

Did you talk to your doctor about it?

I think I suffer from insomnia. I've never received a diagnosis from a doctor. I think I have had trouble sleeping my whole life. When I was a kid my grandmother would give me tea before bedtime which does help relax and get to sleep. Right now I'm kinda ok. I'm used to not sleeping well. Whenever I do fall asleep I get between 4 to 6 hours usually never more or less. I also have a hard time falling asleep and of course staying asleep. What I'm going to try to do tonight is go to bed early about 9pm to give myself enough time to fall asleep so hopefully I will wake up early. Other things that help me sleep is watching tv, sometimes I stay up too late which throws my sleep off. Sometimes turning the tv off helps. Reading, music, writing, or tea. I have tried taking sleep aids but they don't always help me fall asleep faster and stay sleep.

Insomnia has been my friend. Recently, my mum had also been suffering from insomnia, but she blames it on menopause. She's been drinking Kefir milk 30 minutes before bed, and she says it has been helping somewhat. She also drinks chamomile tea.

My past insomnia episodes were due to being very depressed. I would only get about 10hrs of sleep in a week! But with the depression, I think during the day, I function on adrenaline. So, I'm not exactly tired or sleepy. I see this as a positive side effect to my depression~

I'd go to a doctor about that. If you leave it too long you may end up getting depressed or something
