Struggles faced in your 70s - share them here
*bump* - tell us about your struggles, whether with relationships, with health, or with anything else, and hopefully we can share some support here.
@Anomalia I am getting close to 70's. One of the issues I face is what has my life meant to me and to the world. Finding meaning in a world that is looking to glorify youth and often overlooks the wisdom that people have who have seen a few generations grow up.
These are not easily answered questions for me. I guess I just have to keep turning within to see what my heart is telling me to do. I am surprised that when I do things that "feel right" how much easier that is than trying to struggle to do things that are difficult for me to do. Often I have done things in my life that I never thought were possible because I trusted in my heart to lead me on the path that is right for me.
@Anomalia
My biggest struggle with turning 70 was getting seriously ill, spending weeks at a time in the ER and hospital and enduring months of chemotherapy, radiation, surgery, and then more months recovering from the effects of all of those things. It's not something I would care to repeat.
@Tom444 I am sorry you faced so many health challenges. That must have been rough to go through!
@soulsings
Yes, it was rough and there were times when I thought I wouldn't make it. But it also taught me some things: You are stronger than you know; never take life for granted because anthing can happen at any time; focus on the things that matter to YOU; trust your feelings; and never, ever, give up.
@Tom444 yes life tends to teach us it takes a lot to hold us back as long as we keep taking one step at a time and never give up.
@Tom444
You are an inspiration for everyone. Never give up.
@amiablePeace77 I agree Tom is an inspiration to us all.
