If you met a person that was just like you, would you like them? If so, why? If not, how could you view the person more positively?

@DanaMH

Dana, I would like them. I would sit down with them and have endless deep conversations and maybe also some Latino Zumba dancing laugh

That sounds like fun. I would square dance. Smiling with heart-eyes

I think I would like them...and get along with them. I'd be so amazed at meeting someone who was *just like me*...We would probably never run out of topics to talk about. I'd be fascinated at the prospect of meeting someone who saw the world the same way I did and had the same perspective on things, liked the same things, etc. At the same time, one downside is that I would feel less unique and like less of an individual. After all, it took certain life experiences and choices to make me the person I am today. @DanaMH

But overall, I think it would be a positive thing...this person would become my best friend, someone I could share anything and everything with...After all, they would understand and be able to relate since they'd be just like me!

I think it would be amazing also and totally agree with you about not running out ot topics to talk to each other about. That is a good point about the uniqueness however we are all unique in some way which is a wonderful thing and can bring different points of views and ideas due to all those things we have experienced in our life and the choices that we have made. Having friends is very important also and finding others that also enjoy our interest is very important. Having best friends is a awesome also.

I find this one really odd to think about. An outsider is not going to see 'all of me'. So how would I appear to myself as an outsider - not totally sure.

I think in general I would like someone like me, but probably wouldn't be a super close friend, I think close friends are better off complementing each other. When people are the same, the complementary factor isn't there.

Totally agree with you since we do need to complement each other.

@DanaMH I'd love to have someone around like me. I know that sounds narcissistic, but believe me, it's not for my qualities. I'd love to be around someone who understands how I feel, what I've been through and likes exactly the same things as me. I wouldn't feel so damn anxious around them, especially when I'm talking to them about something I'm passionate about or doing something I like around them. I dream of being able to do something like that without feeling anxious and still be able to do what I want because we both want it. I'd finally be able to share my taste in music, movies, internet stuff, etc without having to go into a full panic.

I get that it could be a pain though. Like when you talk to them, you'd both have the same or at the very least similar opinions, and that's not that interesting to talk about.

I agree having someone that does understand us, likes us and knows what to say and how we feel is very important. Maybe when you do get anxious you can count and think of a happy place and that will ground you.
