What is one thing you particularly like about Christmas or this time of the year?
For some time I used not to put out decorations for X-Mas but did start again so I'm really enjoying seeing the X-Mas tree and all the other decorations I put out. It just gives a jolly X-Mas even if there is no family to celebrate with.

I like that it's festive. Not all people, but a lot of people are in a festive mood. Decorations are up. People are excited and happy to see them. I like to see everyone else's decorations. I don't usually do more than one string of lights in a big clear vase. I put it on the kitchen table and shut all the other lights out. It's beautiful/
(Just a note to anyone who thinks they would like to try the lights in the vase. You have to pick a vase that is wider at the top opening than lower in the vase. This is because the lights gets very hot and burn out quickly if you don't have a big, wide opening at the top for the heat to escape. )

The one thing I like about this time of year... some people don't like it when it happens, but when all the leaves drop from the trees... I like to see the branches that make up different kinds of trees. Ever since I was young, I've loved trees. I liked sketching them. I like to see the structure below the branches. Fall and Winter let's me look at all the foundations of the trees.... what's under all those leaves. Oh, I like the leaves on too, especially in the Fall when they all turn beautiful colors. And Spring, when all the baby buds first start popping out to remind us that life goes on. Green leaves are nice but not as interesting as the other 3 seasons...

I like the Christmas carols sung by Bing Crosby, "A Charlie Brown Christmas", "How the Grinch Stole Christmas" (the original animated TV special, narrated by Boris Karloff), and "Mr. Magoo's Christmas Carol". I like getting and sending Christmas cards.
