I also prefer traditional/homeopathic methods when appropriate. However, I know that I would not be here without modern medicine. I am now a polyester princess... From my heart valve, a new aorta, and new connections for my liver, one kidney, to my bladder and throughout my spine. I can't think of any traditional medicines that would have helped that. Perhaps there would have been something though to treat the infection that caused all those issues had I known.

The biggest thing for me in modern medicine...
When I was in my EARLY twenties, I was diagnosed with "terrien's marginal degeneration"
The short is extreme astigmatism. Depth perception is gone, for the most part I was blind in one eye.

I had seen some of the best corona doctors and they all said "You have a good eye, deal with it"
then we pass 2+ decades later, customized Boston Sclera RGP lenses which removed 100% of the astigmatism.
Science brought these lenses ($$$) that gave me good vision again, depth perception, and zero surgery. WOOT!!

I had a medical problem that was fixed by going into my arteries. In the not too distant past, they would have needed to cut me open...

I have seen modern medicine work wonders for many people. I am blessed to not need anything more than daily maintenance meds.

I did have carpal tunnel surgery on both hands nearly two years ago and my left hand did not fully recover. That has been a rather depressing outcome.

Well, when I had surgery on my rotator cup they used a robot and lasers. Which left three small scares, Progress 🤔
