It is in the process. I was using a step stool and it was difficult to hold everything over my head, so I bought a small ladder with a shelf. I think it's gorgeous so far. It's very dreamy.

Hi, Pear! It's not my idea. I saw it in a magazine. The walls and ceiling color in the magazine were a medium grayish-blueish with gold stars. My walls and ceiling are off white.

Something I really enjoyed this month was …
Several of the guys who attend peer-to-peer support sessions together, including me, went on a field trip to the Harley Davidson museum in Milwaukee a couple of weeks ago. I know nothing about motorcycles, but it was fun and something different.
Something new I tried this year was …
I don't think there has been anything new. I still haven't read my abuse statement aloud. I'm planning to read it to a group of seven therapists, including my therapists and the six therapists she supervises, as well as her boss. She has told me that the six therapists she supervises are all women and they have little to no experience in working with males who have been abused. She wants them to hear my story so they will have a little more understanding to prepare them for when they do work with a boy or a man. She doesn't know yet when they will have a meeting that I can attend. It will probably be soon and I am nervous.

I think sometimes it really does not matter if you understand the topic but just being with people who are your peers makes it worthwhile to go.
Hope you get the date for that meeting soon. It takes a lot of courage to read that abuse statement in front of all these therapists to help them understand more what is really going on. Thank you for taking this step to help others, not only the therapists but also other males who went through the same or something similar. I hope by reading it out loud it will help you too. ❤️
