Hi, Peace, I just gave up some people in my life. I don't have anyone I enjoy being with. People come and go. I am about to start school, so I will meet people there. I will (hopefully) be moving soon, too, so I might meet people there. Lastly, I hope to be working again soon, so I might meet people there.

It can feel lonely when you don't have anyone you feel comfortable with being around. School and work can offer great possibilities to connect with others. I hope you will make some friends there and that coming here makes you feel connected to others.

This is a question that recently I have come up with when my spouse was in the hospital.
While it would have been nice to have had someone take over with my spouse care (monitor, correct, etc). Which would have given me a time to ... I don't know, process?
What I had found was that I was 100% alone, no one ... zero zilch.
Then I though if I were home (1k miles from home at the time). I still would be alone. BUT my spouse would have had people whom stick their ^%$& noses where they don't belong.
I am not sure if it is comical but my thoughts were not of me. Meaning I wasn't thinking 'I need someone' it was more like ... 'I need my spiral bound book from my office for ...' 'In the closet in the back room, I need the bag from the lawyers for POA.' 'Where can I get clean clothes, do they sell clothes here?'
I have continued to maintain, I hold little value on the humanity of people in general. I wish no harm, but I also have come to the conclusion there is little to help.
Can't fix stupid
As an introvert, I can handle one or two people. Beyond that I retreat for it is way to taxing on the mental stress. So needing people has never been a personal thing. Work wise, I really only 'need' someone is to answer question. Otherwise, don't need them.
Maybe it was my upbringing. I was raised to never need anyone for anything, Be self supportive.

I hope your wife is better now.
It must have been hard to realize in that emergency situation that there is absolutely no one to help. Being self supportive is a wonderful thing. I'm more on the introvert side too but I believe there are times when I really need others, even if it's just to talk and be comforted.

I like to be around people that feel the joy in life.

I try not to avoid people but it is challenging when someone is stuck in the same problem and not doing anything about it.

I find 7 Cups is a very supportive place.

I find the joy of others influences myself, then my joy inspires my friends, who in their turn positively influence their friends. It's a wonderful circle! 7cups is a great place to find support and positivity!

I don’t physically spend time with anyone, but I have one friend who calls every day to check up on me.
@UberRuminator I do that daily call with mom and she looks forward to that.
