Thanks for the other wording to help me understand the question. :) I would love to plant flowers but I am looking for a new apartment in what is apparently one of the hottest rental markets in the country. So I'm holding off on buying any new potted flowers. I'm also holding off on repotting the flowers I have to see if my new place will have a patio or if I will have to give them away before I move. But as soon as I find out if I'm staying or moving, I'm going to garden a bunch.

The routine I have keeps me on track so if I do not have a great day, the routine keeps me on track.

Maybe when I try to write a story. I've written only one, though, and a first draft of a second story.

I could try to find more time to write so I could get better at it.

Strange - I'm in a new situation right now. I had written my abuse story, or testament, last summer. I read it out loud to my therapist, she read it to me, and we discussed it. I asked the facilitators where I go for peer-to-peer group support meetings to read it, too. They all read it. I posted an abridged version of the story on this website. The woman who runs the survivors support group meetings I attend asked if I would like to read an abridged version of the story out loud in one of the meetings, so I've been working on that. Each week I write a new version of it and send it to my therapist in an email and we spend a little time during our sessions discussing it and how it could be improved. It's otten pretty good, I think, at expressing what needs to be expressed. It's now three pages long while the original was nine pages long. She had just had me add some things to it describing the effects of the abuse. It might be ready, or maybe in another week. My therapist would like me to read it to the other therapists at her facility. She's their supervisor and she thinks it would hellp me and it would help them, especially the younger, less experienced therapists. They have had little or no experience with males who have been sexually abused and they need to know more about that situation and how to handle it. So my reading of my abuse may help others. It's nerve-wracking, of course, to read the most personal thing about me out loud to people I've never met. I might do it next week or the week after. I don't know.

What an inspiration you are. Would be hugging you now if you were in front of me after reading your post. I'm a survivor of severe child abuse, including sexual abuse. Your testimony is so very valuable to other men who are suffering from what you went through in silence because of (most of) society's warped ideal of what a man is. This is so soul damaging. This needs to change. What you are doing is an important part of that change. I know it's hard speaking your pain out loud. But you will reap deep benefits from it. {{{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

Machine Embroidery, Amateur Photography photographing nature - animals, birds and scenery

To be passionate about something in my opinion means you take out emotions of loneliness, anxiety and depression, etc, and replace them with the enjoyment of the passion of doing something that you feel passionate about.

I had a child with special needs. It can be very tiring to work with these kids. But it is very rewarding. The hug from a kid with special needs after accomplishing something new goes to the heart, very deep. Kudos for what you do. I know it isn't always easy - speaking from personal experience.
