When I was young I had a red swimsuit and truly loved it. To me it represented energy. It is still one of my favorite colours but do not wear red clothing anymore. Nowadays I prefer green, orange and earthy colours.

My favorite outfit was a red and white kameez shalwar...I wore it when I traveled to a different state , whenever I remember that suit , memories of travel come down rolling towards me .

Haha this is a funny story which came to mind. My favorite swimsuit was a cute pink one. I liked it a lot and I even have picture of it. When I was about 5-6 years old one hot summer day I decided to go to this very far place with my friend to play in the river. (Very tiny river) We didn't say it to our parents where we are going. (We were alone at home the whole summer) So we packed our swimsuit and towel and went for a road trip by walk. Finally evening came and our parents found us. They were so mad, my best friend was beaten up so bad. But I can tell you one thing. It was one of my best memories ever. Spending a day such a fun day in a nice place. (I felt bad because it was my idea of course ) haha

I'm glad that the good part of that day stuck to your memory more than the other part. It's quite a thing for a 5-6 year old to go on a road trip with their friend!

I've seen pics of myself as a child in a pink and navy blue child's bikini. I wore a pink bathing cap, too. My mum always insisted that I wore the bathing cap. I remember it had flowers on it and pulled my hair when I put it on. I didn't like it. I don't know if they actually do anything to help protect your hair from the water. I don't wear one now.

In the olden days it was a must in many places to wear those bathing cap and you're right, they did pull your hair and it hurt! I think it might have been more to prevent people's hair floating in the water. Pink and navy blue is a pretty combination for a bikini!

I didn't have a favorite outfit but this reminded me of something funny. When I was a young girl, preteens, I had a red one-piece swimsuit. Then I discovered it had a hole in the rear-end. Maybe someone told me I don't remember. I thought it was an amusing story to share.

Guys don’t really have “outfits”. I don’t recall ever having favorite clothes, but I’m sure I did.
I tend not to draw attention to myself, so I generally wear dull colors. On occasion though, I will go “wild” and wear red or bright yellow...

I don't pay much attention to clothes - my own clothes or anyone else's. I grew up on a farm, miles from any beach, but we did go into town sometimes in summer to the public swimming pool. I think I had blue trunks. I don't have trunks now and haven't been in any water like that in over thirty years. I get a bad allergic reaction to chlorine now, so I stay out of pools.

I could imagine that you were exited to go to the public pool in your blue trunks on those days. Sorry to hear about your reaction to chlorine, I hope that occasionally you still get to a beach and enjoy the fresh water of the sea.
