@amiablePeace77, You guys have way of phrasing questions that is sometimes difficult to understand for me. Do you mean ‘tell people something? Do you mean, ‘have people understand and change their behavior? Do you mean something in between? I dont understand, so the question is difficult for me to answer. Could you rephrase the question, please?
@purpleTree4652 I hear you and interpet questions the way I wish to answer them.
The way I interpret the message is "Suppose that you have 30 seconds on National Television and you could tell people whatever you want, what would you say?"

Treat male victims of abuse with as much care as female victims of abuse, already! We're human, too.
@WharfRat So true. Abuse is just as damaging for males.

Lets start finding common ground so we can see our similarities more than our differences.

Soul, I like your idea of finding similarities which would help people to bond.
My answer would have to go something like this:
ATTENTION ONE AND ALL!!.......Let people be who they are and do not try to define how nor the way one responds to a question. We are all individuals with differnces that may not be understandable to you. Acceptance is what people need more of. Not trying to conform to others expectations. Show Love and understanding or say nothing at all.

It sounds that you feel frustrated and disappointed. People here do care because we all know that behind each name is a real person. You matter and we do care about you. 
@Lauren63 I hear you. When you are one among millions of members it can be depersonalizing.
But then when I talk to someone 1-1 I realize I am not just a number, I am a person reaching out to another person to try to have empathy for what they are going through.
But that only works if the person trusts me enough to open the door and receive it.
