As we get older our nervous systems can become more sensitive, making us more prone to anxiety. I find meditation, formal or informal, helps to train the mind to calm.

@amiablePeace77, being with my family who i can go to if I have problems or don't understand something. I also see myself playing with their pets. That alone isn't the whole picture of what my home will look like for me. Since I'm moving in with family that i recently renewed my relationship with, I don't know how my home with feel. Right now it is nervous.

Moving in with others is a big step and I can understand that you feel nervous about how things might be working out at the end. I believe it's a natural response to change, but considering that they have been supportive and understanding I guess chances are high that everything will turn out well.
I think of it as my castle. It's my safe zone, where I can be just me, where I am loved and where my family is.

When I think of home, i think of family. (obviously) My whole life I have been moving from house to house and never really stayed in one house for longer than maybe 4-5 years. Just when i get used to the house, we move again. So I always keep in mind that no matter how many houses I move, as long im with my family I can survivng living on the streets.

That's a nice way to put it, home can be anywhere provided we feel good.
I think home depends on how I'm feeling. In general, when things are good, or average - just normal, home is where I live with my husband and son. But if I'm feeling terrible or really fearful or in distress, home is my parents' house where I grew up. So, I guess when I feel like a strong adult, my home is here. When I feel like a helpless child, I want to be in that safety net I grew up in.

Home to me, is somewhere where I can totally be myself without fear of criticism nor ridicule. Somewhere safe and warm, where I can create my own world of imagination and magic.

There was a time when I did a lot of traveling. When I was a little distressed by that, I would tell myself that "Home is where the heart is."

I personally do not like to be constantly travelling and I could imagine that as a child it must be very hard. I believe what you said is the most truthful description of home to me too, nothing can make a place home, not even the most beautiful house or furniture if your heart is somewhere else.
