@Lauren63-I like your 7cups name and horse logo- My good horse friend's name is Lauren.

@barncat. Great. Compared to a horse, and just as ugly. And that is my dog. Laying on the floor. She is old. Almost 13.
@Lauren63- lauren is not the name of the horse- It is the name of my friend who helps me with horses. Old dogs are faithful.Probably better than cats.
@barncat oh sorry. That made me smile. Glad you have a friend named.Lauren. No one had that name when I was young. I wanted to be Debbie. Everyone knew a Debbie. Thanks . Love this.
@Lauren63- I'm so glad it made you smile- often when I was down in the depths of grief a listener would make me laugh- i truly hope your day goes well tomorrow. today I am ecstatic- cause Lauren is going to pick up our new horse tomorrow. And deliver him to our pasture to meet his new herdmate.

That sounds so awesome, I have always wanted to pet a horse and give him an apple or cube of sugar. At least that is what I have seen on TV., I was a city girl and now we live in the country and I want so badly to ask some of the neighbors if they would let me pet their horses or cows. But I live in an area where everyone keeps to themselves
and I have been afraid to ask.
@scarletPear1945- sorry to hear you live where people keep to themselves. I live on an island and we depend on each other- best of luck to introduce yourself to those with horses. I can say that most horse owners LOVE to talk about their horses and show them off.

Someone in my city has been stabbing horses. It makes no sense that someone could be that cruel to an aminal. Cause for hose owners to be careful

@scarletPear1945- I googled more about your story re: horse stabbings/shootings- unbelievable someone would be so angry at the world to take it out on harmless creatures. The story brought me to tears- and another horse/mule was recently shot. We all should send healing energy to those who lost their beloved animals. And hopefully the person who is responsible for this slaughter is caught- and held accountable for their actions.

I agree with you, People are becoming so cruel. I hope they catch whoever is doing this and make them serve a lifetime behind bars.
@scarletPear1945- I am optimistic that there are more good, kind and loving people in the world than cruel and heartless. Unfortunately the news tends to market the bad and not the good. Keep your lovely spirit and kindness and it will spread.

@scarletPear1945- my response isnt really marching orders- but I have been fortunate to meet a LOT of wonderful people where I live during this summer when 3 of our lesson horses were put down. It reminded me of how much care and concern there is on the island. Perhaps you could reach out to the vets who lost their horse- I know how traumatic an uplanned horse death can upset equine owners. I plan to send them a card myself. Hugs.

@adventurousBranch3786- he really is my husband's horse- but I am in love with him already. Havent ridden him yet- taking our time getting to know each other- no hurry

@Lauren63- Well my weekend started with sleeping at the barn 2 nights in a row- to settle in a new horse and last night because the only survivor of my herd of 5 was either kicked by the new guy- BUT all is well this morning- I truly hope and will think of you this weekend as you work- remember we all do care here at 7 cups. HUGS
