Life experience and a strong sense of humour and a dose of "je m'en fout" (French expression for "I don't care").
Life experience, constant struggles, challenges and battles taught us that it is normal to fail at some point or be succesful at other points in time, that failure is not "the end of the world" and the majority of us go over, past or around failures and the lucky ones of us also get not to be haunted by them (unfortunately, not me😉). So as we go merrily failing constantly in life we become more imune andindifferent to failure, sayimg so what, "I don't care", "je m'en fout", I still live tiday...
A bitter cinical sense of humour, Murphy stye saying: " Don't worry, tomorrow will be worse", or "Destiny, you let me down, I thought you could do much wirse tgan that!"😂😂
Toughskin by experience and a dose of caustic loughter gets you over failures...well most of us, not me...😔😔😔
How are you today?
About medium. My alarm didn't go off, so I got in to work an hour and a half late, didn't have breakfast, spilled my coffee. It will get better.
How do you maintain your motivation when you fail? I honestly don't know. I seem to have something wihin me that keeps me going at those times. Thank goodniess for that.
I don't have a lot of motivation to maintain. If I fail? Well so what? we all do so I guesit depends on how much I care about I failed at. I try to look at things logically if I can and see if there is another way to approach things
How am I today? anxiuos. I'm not liking the 7 cup changes
@swanflyinggracefully
Sorry to hear you're not feeling well. When I feel getting anxious mantras or calming music helps me, what helps you most?

@amiablePeace77
How do you maintain your motivation when you fail? By telling myself
NOTHING VENTURED, NOTHING GAINED
So without a failure, I would not know how to succeed. I pick up the pieces and try, try, try again!
@amiablePeace77
I redefine failure
To fail is to quit give up and just stop trying.
Anything else is a stairway to success.
@soulsings
I knew why I admired your thoughts...
@amiablePeace77
How are you today?
Okay, I think? Kind of blank.
How do you maintain your motivation when you fail? Um... not very well.
@stressBear
Hugs. Standing up when we fall down can be tough, it helps me to ask myself "why am I doing this, where do I want to go, what do I want to achieve?" The answers I give myself are: "I want to live", "Be mentally and physically healthy as much as possible.
Hope you find something here which can help you:

Today I go out of town to see the spinal doctor that did my back surgery. If all looks good to him I will be released and can go on with my normal activities. The ride is about 6 hours so I am getting a hotel room today and staying overnight as that is to long a ride to do in one day for me. I will use this time to do some fun stuff while there,
Hope you and the rest of our 7cups family have a good day
@scarletPear1945 Good luck with your doctors appointment. I hope that everything will be okay.
@adventurousBranch37
Thanks!
I just got home a little while ago, tired, but glad to be home. My appointment went petty well. However, the doctor thinks I might have a blood clot in my right leg and sent me to the hospital for an ultrasound on the leg. So now I just have to wait for the results.
@scarletPear1945- hope your ultrasound was negative- and you are getting rested up from your long trip.
@barncat
Thank you very much, that was sweet
@scarletPear1945 hoping for the best results for you.
@soulsings
I am thankful to have your support. I hope you are doing well?
@scarletPear1945 Hi have you heard anything about the ultrasound result yet?
@adventurousBranch3786
I have not heard anything, So as the saying goes, NO NEWS IS GOOD NEWS
So I pray that to be true
@scarletPear1945 I hope that you will get good news.
@scarletPear1945
I hope everything is okay. If they find something they usually call straight away.
@amiablePeace77
I thank you for following up with me. The doctor did call and no blood clot was found. They want to start PT which is better than another surgery. Yay!!.
I put on my program today and it was a great success. I put in a lot of hard work and energy to make this program alive and informative. I made all my own props and I am proud of myself,
@scarletPear1945 Hi That is great news,I'm glad to hear it.
@adventurousBranch3786
Thanks
@scarletPear1945 great news. Good luck with PT.
@scarletPear1945
That's wonderful! Very happy for you, particularly that no surgery is needed.
Congratulations as well!
@scarletPear1945- yeah- glad to hear you are on the mend and starting PT
@barncat
Thanks, barncat. How are you today? I appreciate you very much
@scarletPear1945- you deserve the support through this group. Glad you are healing from your surgery.
@scarletPear1945- thank you for asking how I am doing today- it has been very rainy and gray- but my agenda has been getting the new horse settled into his surroundings. I appreciate you asking.
How am I doing today? yesterday I was fantastic- today stopped to buy Xmas wreaths. Remembered my neighbor was involved making them for the local cemetery fundraiser, However she died Nov 18th last year and now is buried at the ceremetery. So I placed a wreath at her gravesite. Then placed one at each of the burial site where my two horses were laid to rest this summer- in the same field as my remaining horse. Lots of tears today.
Motivation- I know tomorrow will be better - and my husband's new horse is coming home end of this week.
@barncat sorry for the losses. Hugs.
@soulsings- I really appreciate your thoughts- I am on the healing side of loss.
@barncat.
Good to hear this.
@barncat
Hugs, sorry about your losses, hope you feel better today.
What kind of new horse are you getting if I may ask and have you got a name already?
@amiablePeace77- He arrived on Thursday- he is a 15.2H Tennessee Walker- GORGEOUS- his registered name is "I'm ARmed and Bulletproof" - he has been called Gunslinger/Flash and Baxter over his 14 years. We were thinking of renaming his Gunner- but now are leaning towards Trooper. He replaces my husband's deceased 32yo TWH. THanks for asking.
