The pandemic has brought me new ways to connect with people that are important to me. Zoom has been a game changer. I have weekly set times to “see” people. 😃👍. I also have reconnected with old friends. These relationships feel like there was never a 40 year (yikes) gap in talking. We met in person before the pandemic, and now we chat weekly, and Zoom once a month. I’m grateful that these relationships continue to grow. Thanks for the question.

Wow, it must be so exiting to talk to a friend after 40 years again! Nice that you set times to stay in contact with others and yes Zoom became a game changer for many many people these days.

I sent a nice text telling him to stay cool in the heat, that I have a good supper planed and that I Love him so very much. He is the one person in this world who looks out for me, the one I can call and he instantly makes everything alright. Lucky I have him. :)

Who are the people you really look forward to seeing in your life whether on the screen or in person? How are you nurturing those relationships? I don't really have anyone on the screen, my fiance' is the only person I really look forward to seeing in my life. I nurture that by talking on the phone with her and texting her. She is currently at Yosemite volunteering to help people. She will come down on the 16th and leave again on the 18th. She will come back to stay after two weeks.

Hello I passionately look forward to seeing/connecting with positive and happy people who are fun loving and exciting to talk to. The Pandemic gifted me 💯 such awesome people who infused pep and mirth into my life and fostered my journey within too. I do reach out to my family but I most consciously reach out to my soul friends for fulfilling activities and communication Cheers.

Having a positive and happy people with whom you can connect deeply emotionally makes a big difference in life. The pandemic has caused a lot of suffering but I believe it also taught us ways to connect with others and gratitude.
@amiablePeace77, my two good friends. One is in Singapore and one is in England. I stay in as close touch with them as possible and treat them with delicate respect and care. I love them both so much.

I can relate to people who see you as you are, it just feels good, feels validated.
@amiablePeace77 I have had to be creative with connecting during the pandemic. My mil lives in upstate NY. Every two weeks we decide on a recipe to make and connect on Zoom to eat our dinner and catch up. It's been nice to see one another and connect over food. I have found myself having more phone conversations with friends. Now that the mask mandate has ended in our area, I've gone back to many of the organizational meetings previously held virtually. We still mask and distance in the room but the energy of being together is such a joy.
I look forward to traveling again this year and seeing a cousin in Indiana, my mother in law in NY, and a brother-in-law's family in MO.

Having dinner together on zoom is a great idea and must be lots of fun! Good to hear that you can meet in person again, it is different to feel the physical presence of someone, to share the joy and laughter and just be with people or family you haven't been with in person for a long time.

There are some "friendly acquaintances" I wish I could se sometime. I'm afraid I've already gone too far in trying to further the friendships. They seem annoyed with me now. They have busy lives and have no time to socialize with me.

Many people just care for their needs or their closed ones and seem to have less and less time for others. To me sometimes it can feel like the world needs to stop and breathe, less busyness and more time and compassion to care for having good relationships with others. You are always welcome here
