Autumn/Fall season has started yesterday! Let's share some things we particularly like about this season 😃.
Autumn is a time of change from hot temperatures here to cooler weather, so I enjoy more walks outside what helps me to relax and also connect to people living in this area. Often there is someone on the road to chat with.

I'm fascinated that this can be someone's favorite time of year. I guess because for me it's not.
I'm recognising in myself a dislike of feeling trapped. And I wonder if that's why - the shorter days and cold/wet weather leads to me feeling trapped indoors. Which leads to the question, what do I need to run away from?
Something to meditate on.

I do get that, most people feel similar to you 💜 but I don't know, instead of feeling trapped the darkness is a solace for me and I'm nuts, I know, but I love the cold weather even though I had a spinal operation and it drives my back nuts, but I love it 😂

Maybe you can teach me how to view the darkness as a solace. For me it is a thing of fear. Much less frightening than it used to be. But I still have a light on at night when alone.

I understand how the dark became frightening to you. It was a time of loneliness and helplessness. A time when you couldn't distract yourself from the fears. But actually, this wasn't the dark's fault. It just was.

We don't really celebrate Halloween as such here on the island but trick and treat reminds me of something where I used to live time ago.
I like Autumn weather, with the cool breezes, falling leaves (as long as they're in someone else's yard), the Halloween decorations, etc.

All these decorations are so beautiful! I had to smile about your comment in respect of falling leaves (as long as they fall in your neighbor's yard). Those leaves can be quite some work for true! Have you ever thought about collecting them to make leaf mold compost (for plants)?

Those bare trees can look sad, but they also make a beautiful scenery because their skeletons stand out against the snow and frost. Nature is sleeping but soon will wake up again to celebrate her beauty in spring.

I am appreciating the dark for the first time ever. I prepared! I got as much cozy going as I could. I went to thrift stores and found stuff I liked to brighten up my room. I put up fairy lights, I got thirty candles.that make.everything smell.good. a dispenser for essential.oils A.bright pink and.white quilt! all my favorite books and the dog. Iove it in there now. Great ideas from all thank you. Oh and I have a light box coming tomorrow. I am ready to have a.cozy, warm fall.
