Hi! Thanks for posting! I saw you were having a few problems so I have narrowed down all the posts to this one here and helped with the edits so I hope that you are happy with it now. Sometimes the forums don't immediately register we have posted but things are being ironed out and fixed.
It is a very important topic especially for anyone that is fragile or vulnerable in any way. With the cold weather and ice and snow sometimes it is good to wear shoes with strong soles or those over shoe things with spikes that grip to avoid slipping. And of course stay warm!

Do not be looking down at your phone nor allow yourself to be distracted. This is so true. I see people darting across the street not looking at traffic but looking at their phone instead.
The other thing I try to do is to watch my thoughts. If I see dark angry thoughts arriving in my mind I excuse myself and go to another room or do self talk to stop myself from latching onto angry thoughts.

I was always told by my parents to keep at least half a tank of gas in my car during the winter. Keep a blanket in the car to keep you warm if you get stuck and something to drink.

@WharfRat made me think of some other things that I have had in my trunk. If you have an old tote bag or just a grocery store bag, throw the stuff in it and put it in your trunk.

@WharfRat good preparation and food that will not spoil. I have ready to eat cans of soup and extra clothes and water.
I always try to keep 3/4 of a tank of gas in the car.
Add a torch with batteries, or better still a wi dup torch as batteries can fade in cold weather. And one if those aluminium blankets that can be bought in camping stores.
