@SunShineAlwaysGrateful
We put ours up the weekend before X-Mas and take it down on Jan 2nd.
@Gettingbettertoday for a live tree that is wise. I have given my tree a quart of water a day it just soaks it up otherwise the needles dry out.
@soulsings
We have an artificial tree.
@Gettingbettertoday
My tree stays up past Old Christmas Day on January 6th. Much the same.
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful AKA the Day of Epiphany = January 6.
I've not ever heard it called "old" Christmas day. Is that a term from another tradition or portion of the world? ~ BooksHugs
@BooksHugsandTea6370
i am from Newfoundland Canada 🇨🇦 east coast and many immigrated from Great Britain mostly Ireland here …
Anyway, before the calendar was reformed, England celebrated Christmas on the equivalent of the 6th of January by Gregorian calendar reckoning. And so it came to be called Old Christmas Day by many people of Great Britain.
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful wooooooow!😍😍😍😍😍😍 that's a magical place, and those polar bears and little seal 😍 and who hung out their washing infront of your photo😂😂😂 ok I won't laugh at the original, well thought out name 'Newfoundland ' 😂😂😂😂 cause it's a magic place

Right after American Thanksgiving, and then we might leave it up as late as February!
@windchimes1991 yaaaay! Let the Xmas fun last as long as possible ❤❤ gives you a giant festive tiny hug ❤
I put my tree up on my December birthday. I love decorating for Christmas but I dislike putting it away.

Yeah I feel that definitely …. I usually blast the tunes and rock with it dance away it helps lol 😂
@scarletBeach7579 happy xmas birthday 🎂 you must be a real earth angel ❤ merry Christmas ❤
My 2 daughters have birthdays in December. When they were little, we always made sure to celebrate their birthdays first. After b-day celebrations, the winter holiday celebrations would begin by all of us going out to get a tree. Now that we're older, we just put up lights. 😉
@Lifer aww that's sweet ❤ put their birthdays first. To make it more special ❤❤❤
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful
As close to 1st December as I can! November is for planning, organising, shopping for Christmas. December is for enjoying it.

@SunShineAlwaysGrateful
Our tree just never comes down. I live in a messy household, it is getting better, so it's just easier to leave it up year round. This year we might take of the decorations and put more seasonal ones up but the tree will stay. ^_^
The lights get plugged in, on and off when we remember, sometime in December. Never before Thanksgiving, I refuse Christmas music till after Thanksgiving.
@SunShineAlwaysGrateful My tree is going up this weekend, would of bee up last week but have been so busy with work
