Socialising at weekends
Do you have a regular socialising routine? do you always do the same thing or nothing at all?
I say this as we mature people ;-) tend to be a bit 'stick in the mud' and 'like our routines' or is it me? :-(

Well... I work in a big place with a lot of co-workers and our work means to collaborate, so suppose for this reason we are a big group of friends: I experience high level of socialization and friendly interactions with them everyday i am at office! Some of them hang out also during weekend, I am more quiet so I tend to skip the meetings but yes, there is a sort of routine I experience in the socialization.

@lucy2 I socialize on 7cups and with friends and family. Older parents means more visits. lol

You're right there Soul, 7cups often replaces the family and friends we never had, so in that respect, we always have someone to chat to, to talk over any worries we have and to laugh with.
Older relatives do indeed take more time but a necessity 
occassionally ;-)

@lucy2 Not really. My weekends are my recharge time. I currently work in an open office, so I need the peace and quiet!

Yes, they do especially if you are working or very busy weekdays, so that leaves one day for catching up with chores and shopping :-( and one day for recharging. If you're a real 'with it' type of person, then you'll be out on the town twisting the night away

@lucy2 I understand - as a student currently undergoing university challenges, the week is certainly hectic, and gosh, weekends just fly by catching up too!
Now that its summer vacation, every day is kind of a weekend, so I don't really have labels such as "Monday" on my inner radar!

So you are studying, that's a coincidence me too, second time around for me, so I certainly know how much time that takes up. Are you a what we call a 'mature student' ? lovely label isn't it. Quite often study eats into your weekend too.

Its excited to learn that you are also studying! I think theres a joy to that, although tiring too

socializing routine - I tried to establish one for a long time but I realized that it is only me putting an effort into it so i decided to socialize when there is an opportunity, otherwise i socialize with myself and i became pretty good at that . I do have regular social contact on the phone with my friends in my country of birth every weekend and i love it.

my support group is only on week days, its the only time that I "socialize" outside of work or volunteer work.
