Love and Compassion for Ourselves

Self-love is treating ourselves with love and compassion before we can give that to others. We are kind to ourselves just as we hope others are to us. The key practices to self-love are being mindful of your emotions and having self-kindness, which reduces our stress and anxiety levels and improves our mental health.

The following are four pillars of self-love:

Self-Awareness: This is when we are aware of our surroundings, how we treat ourselves, and making sure we are well taken care of. This allows you to see clearly.

Self-Acceptance: Accepting ourselves for who we have become. We first must know who we are, our core identity. Accepting without judgment.

Self-Trust: Believing you have what it takes from the heart. Building confidence in yourself.

Self-Efficacy: Having the belief in the abilities we set for ourselves. Placing certain goals and paths we want in life. This lets you guide yourself in good well-being.
