In my case, the minute I get off work I am with my spouse. There is 'zero' time for me unless I go riding. Riding is the only time I have to myself.
It has been since father's day (Saturday) I have been able to ride. Weather has been rainy ... A LOT.
So I want to make time for me (sometimes i feel guilty doing it) and sometimes I am too busy wit duties and responsibilities.

It depends on the person. I know some people who are constantly busy, all day, every day. I know some people who have all the time in the world. I don't know where my time goes, but it flies by without me getting much done.

This is a Zen Evening Gatha (Gatha - A work in poetic form - similar to an 'Inspired Utterance). I have it framed and on my wall where I pass it several times a day. Each time I see this, the message is both comforting and frightening.

Let me respectfully remind you,
Life and death are of supreme importance.
Time swiftly passes by and opportunity is lost.
Each of us should strive to awaken…
Awaken… take heed!
Do not squander your life!

I definitely feel that many of us don't make ourselves the priority. We're so focused on helping others, working for others, doing for others that we are always last on the list. And then it's the end of the day and we're too tired to give ourselves any time. At least that's how I feel.

I'm learning to put more effort into myself first. It's hard because it's not something that comes naturally to me.

That's an interesting thread!

I think it could be both.

Some people are overwhelmed with responsabilities and life problems, so they have to postpone their me-time moments or it could become difficult later to catch up with everything that piled up!

Good reminder tho that, when possible, the me-time moments should be in the priority list 😊

I'd say it depends on the person. I've definitely come across both types and there are a lot of circumstances that would lead ppl on either path. Or any path at all. Time doesn't really exist to me, so I couldn't share which I belong to. It is an interesting question, tho.
