New Ambassadors: Jessica & Kane
It is my great honor to welcome 2 new ambassadors to our team! Please join me in giving them a round of applause!
------>Jessica
Jessicajoined as a listener in December of 2013, a little over a year ago. From the beginning she brought joy and love to her Active Listening practice. Over the course of the past year, Jessica has gone above and beyond her call of duty as a listener, mentor and mentor leader, helping to build our culture and community in a thoughtful and dynamic "Jessica" way. Specifically, Jessica has made the teen community & listener quality her mission. She helps lead a team inapprovingall of the adult teen listener applications, an incredibly important project in maintaining safety and setting a high standard in our teen community.
Additionally, she helps with quality projects such as: listener reviews, forum engagement and the Active Listening tests!
Through her time here, Jessica has grown in herself, been creative to try new things (even when they are out of her comfort zone) and actively problem solved to create the kind of community she wants to exist in. We are proud to have her as a leader on our ambassador team and I am very excited to continue to grow and learn with her! She makes me smile :)
------> Kane
If you know anything about Kane, you know she a powerhouse of knowledge and professionalism. Kane joined as a listener a year ago and quickly dove into her role here at 7 Cups of Tea. In her journey,Kane has been a thoughtful leader. She has overcome difficult circumstances with a clear head,her dedication to 7 Cups never wavered. Kane walks towards difficult situations, challenges and problems and approaches them in a calm, professional manner.
She started building this FAQover the summer and has maintained and rebuilt it more than once to ensure it is up to date and helpful to the entire community. She is an excellent writer and a force in our listener forums.
Most recently, Kane has beena leader with our internship program.Our challenging internship program was in need of some extra community support and not only was Kane willing to take on this unique role, she was an excellent fit for it. Through her work, more interns willsuccessfully complete their internship and become valued community members!

A big congrats to Kane and Jessica! Our ambassador team is quickly growing! What many of you don't know is that the ambassadors do a tremendous amount of work behind the scenes. 7 Cups is actually a very large organization with a lot of moving parts. What you see and interact with is literally the tip of the iceberg. The bulk of what is happening occurs below the surface. Kane and Jessica join a dedicated team of ambassadors that run huge parts of the 7 cups of tea organization that surface here and there, but are mostly visible behind the scenes.
Kane, thank you for showing resilience, grit and perseverance! Thank you for your work in the forums (we'll get those updates done, promise!), listener and mentor FAQs, and for being a very proactive problem solver. Early on in 7 cups, I encouraged all listeners to really "own"7 cups. We are not a top down organization. Instead, we are more grassroots and we encourage experimentation and failure to quickly learn and adapt. Kane really embodies this approach. She sees problems and solves them. Finally, Kane has been playing a key role with our internship program and will be filing bigger shoes as we begin to move forward deliberately spreading the word about 7 cups on college campuses. Thank you Kane!!!
Jessica, thank you for being a force for good in our community and especially the teen community. Supporting and growing teen support is going to become a bigger part of what we do. Many teens really have no other place to turn. Scaling up teen groupsupport, screening teen mentors, supervising teen projects, and supporting teen stars are critical components to providing a safe haven for teens on the Internet. We have lots of work to do here and I'm very thankful that you are leading our focus here. Additionally,I'm greatful to youfor playing a key role in our Active Listening 1 and 2 program to help listeners really step up their listening skills. These training pieces are great because they get listeners specific feedback. Helping Evi in this is very helpful and important. Thank you!

Thank you all! :) I'm very glad to be joining the team with @Jessica! She really embodies what it means to be an ambassador. It's also quite an honor to be invited so I hope I can live up to everyone's expectations!
Although slight amendment, I joined as a listener last January. ;) I just took a few breaks throughout my time here, hehe.
