New Ambassadors: Jessica & Kane
It is my great honor to welcome 2 new ambassadors to our team! Please join me in giving them a round of applause!
------>Jessica
Jessicajoined as a listener in December of 2013, a little over a year ago. From the beginning she brought joy and love to her Active Listening practice. Over the course of the past year, Jessica has gone above and beyond her call of duty as a listener, mentor and mentor leader, helping to build our culture and community in a thoughtful and dynamic "Jessica" way. Specifically, Jessica has made the teen community & listener quality her mission. She helps lead a team inapprovingall of the adult teen listener applications, an incredibly important project in maintaining safety and setting a high standard in our teen community.
Additionally, she helps with quality projects such as: listener reviews, forum engagement and the Active Listening tests!
Through her time here, Jessica has grown in herself, been creative to try new things (even when they are out of her comfort zone) and actively problem solved to create the kind of community she wants to exist in. We are proud to have her as a leader on our ambassador team and I am very excited to continue to grow and learn with her! She makes me smile :)
------> Kane
If you know anything about Kane, you know she a powerhouse of knowledge and professionalism. Kane joined as a listener a year ago and quickly dove into her role here at 7 Cups of Tea. In her journey,Kane has been a thoughtful leader. She has overcome difficult circumstances with a clear head,her dedication to 7 Cups never wavered. Kane walks towards difficult situations, challenges and problems and approaches them in a calm, professional manner.
She started building this FAQover the summer and has maintained and rebuilt it more than once to ensure it is up to date and helpful to the entire community. She is an excellent writer and a force in our listener forums.
Most recently, Kane has beena leader with our internship program.Our challenging internship program was in need of some extra community support and not only was Kane willing to take on this unique role, she was an excellent fit for it. Through her work, more interns willsuccessfully complete their internship and become valued community members!

Kane is one of the reasons I love this site. She is extremely intelligent, talented, and humbled, mixed with a good sense of humor. When you speak with her, she speaks with you as an equal -- that is a necessity in both real-world careers and voluntary services such as this one. Her ability to analyze and assess suggestions and ideas further supports her overwhelming contribution to 7Cups!
I am EXTREMELY happy seeing this. And if Jessica is in the same caliber, I am double as excited knowing there is someone else I could reach out to as well. I am proud of you ladies and I know this site will only get better with you two being ambassadors.

@Kane ... Kaney I couldn't think of a more deserving person. You are simply fabulous in every way and I'm so glad that you have been recognised in this way! Thanks for all the banter and laughs and craziness but also for being the perfect role model and someone to look up to! Well done :)

I want to extend a personal congratulations and thank you to @Kane! She helped me a lot during my internship, and provided unmatched resourcefulness, kindness, and genuine support whenever I had a question or came to her with a problem.

This makes me so happy! @Jessica, your dedication to the site and particularly to the teen side inspires me. We've only talked a bit, but I know you'll be an amazing ambassador and continue to help the site grow in positive, thoughtful ways. And thanks for verifying me as an adult teen listener! And @Kane, your hard work on so many of the site projects is so admirable to me, and I am glad you're getting so much recognition for all the you do.

@Jessica, I?ve never told you this, but in my first weeks as a listener I connected with you as a guest to see active listening from one of the ?pro? listeners. It was really helpful, and that?s the example I think of when I?m encouraging newer listeners to do the same. I?ve really enjoyed working with you on projects and I know how much work you put in there! You?re a fantastic listener and team leader, and I?m really happy that you?re stepping into the ambassador role :)
@Kane, I?ve always been amazed at your knowledge and bookmarks, thoughtful and complete responses in forum posts, and the way you organize projects! And a special thanks for the FAQ!A well-deserved recognition :)
