Thank You Glen!
Hello All -
I wanted to take a brief pause from my day to call attention to someone I admire. This person is our founder, @GlenM. Glen founded 7 Cups in 2013 and since then he has worked insanely hard to get 7 Cups moving in the right direction. As someone who has had a front row seat to this process for over 2 years, I can tell you, this is no easy feat. It is harder than you could imagine. It takes courage, guts, grit and perseverance. By all accounts, he has done an incredible job.
Glen has shown time and again his love and support of our community. As the founder of 7 Cups, he has and will continue to be the recipient of criticism. Unlike many founders, Glen has no problem diving in and engaging in difficult conversations with all of us. We are very lucky to have such a hands-on founder. If you have read any of his forum posts over the last 2 years or 7 Cups For The Searching Soul, it is easy to see how much he loves our vibrant community and how much he has personally sacrificed to make 7 Cups a reality. He is quick, smart and well spoken. It is his love for what we are doing that drives me, and all of us.
Like me, he believes firmly in creating a global mental health system that will change the world and that technology can be used to creatively solve problems. Whether you have interacted with him personally, read his forum posts, heard his voice on a call or you have never encountered him, I am here to tell you, he is a wonderful, authentic, hard working, dedicated person, who we are lucky to have.
He has taught me a great deal and supported me throughout my time at 7 Cups, which I have passed forward into the community, to all of you. I am incredibly thankful for his leadership, go-getter approach and his vision to create a loving support community.
I wanted to take some time out to say thank you to Glen for his work on 7 Cups. What we are doing is challenging, but with his leadership, I am confident we can become sustainable and reach our goals. The future is bright!
Please join me in giving our fearless leader a little love! He deserves it!

I've known you for just over 2 years now in various capacities; first from a distance as a listener and later, working closely with you as a community manager. I have never met anyone with your level of optimism, energy and enthusiasm. You're always there believing and driving things forward, even when the rest of us are tired and ready to go home. You're a wonderful founder, thinker, encourager, mentor, teacher and believer.
I've seen you working late nights, early mornings and holidays. I've seen you juggling time with your kids vs 7 Cups, day in and day out. I've also seen you deal with countless difficult conversations and I'm completely in awe of how you take every challenge head on. You work hard to be open and honest in your interactions, and you're never afraid to dive in and get your hands dirty. Being a leader is hard work, it's tough making decisions and carrying the burden of responsibility over which way to take us next, but someone has to do it or nobody will. We're beyond lucky that it's you.
It goes without saying (far too often!), but without your strength and determination, so many people would still be lonely. So many people would not have found anyone to believe in them. Thousands of people would not yet have discovered their ability to listen, or to be heard. Without you, none of this would be here. None of us would be here.
Few people can dare to dream as big as you do, never mind follow it through into reality. Not many people can impact so many others in one lifetime. But you did it anyway. So this Monday, I want to join everyone is saying a massive thank you to you Glen. For everything you've done, for everything you do and most of all, for being you.

I also want to thank our team. They pour their hearts into our site. We are all fortunate to have such a conscientious, smart, flexible, caring group of people on board to help us move things forward.

thank you Glen!! i honestly don't know where i would be right now if it weren't for this site! i am a lot less depressed since i found this! 7cups is the best thing tht ever happened to me and im so grateful! Thank you Glen!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I can't speak for others but I know that I appreciate all of your hard work in building 7 Cups. It is clear that you are devoted and passionate and caring. I will admit that I was hesitant when I first joined this site--I mean, so many people volunteering their free time to help others in such a supportive environment....surely there's a catch somewhere, right? So, of course, being the researcher that I am, 
I asked around about you. And, one of my favorite and most trusted people in the world, someone I respect greatly (John), just sang your praises. John told me that if anyone could make a site like this work, it would be you. So, I opted to trust that--and he's right. There are many bumps in the road, sure. But, that's part of the journey. And, it's a journey I enjoy being on. Thank you for all that you do, Glen. Your contributions have helped more people than you will ever know (IMO).

@GlenM, I owe to your dedication and passion a great personal change in viewing global mental health issues. You, along with overwhelming kindness of members of this community inspired me to become an advocate myself. Thanks to your hard work I've learned a lot about active listening, too and I do a lot to implement this skill in the daily situations.
The supportive and compassionate setting of 7 Cups helped me also in my own recovery. I'm more honest, hopeful and mindful person, one who doesn't shy away from difficult emotional matters. Simply put it, I am a better human than I was before discovering this wonderful community.
Thank you for everything. You've made a difference in the life of the stranger on another continent. Wish you and your loved ones all the best!
