Hello and Happy Friday everyone, I hope you are all taking it easy on yourself.

So last week we discussed a bit on Act of Kindness Help To Heal With Depression / Anxiety. It was great to hear everyone's thoughts but if you haven't yet or have more to share, please click here to add your thoughts.

This week I would want us to dig and reflect on how our thoughts and ideas evolve when witnessing depression.

Does depression make you get lost in your thoughts and ideas? What does look like for you? Share and discuss with us.

Thank you Obs for creating this forum post and I think I will have to start of the series 🤭🤭🤭

I think it can make a person feel self-centered. Like no one is going through this hard time except them. They might separate themselves from people, preferring their own company, lost in their own thoughts and ideas.

For me, depression makes me so much harder on myself. I feel immune to joy and the only thoughts by brain can entertain are dark ones. Depression puts me in a rut and makes me feel unable to create new ideas

A symptom of depression that has always strongly affected me is extreme fatigue. I used to spend a lot of time thinking about the things I still had to do, and it only made me more and more tired. Now I make sure to set aside time to relax and simply focus on the moment. I also make sure to be grateful when I do get the chance to rest, somehow it makes me feel infinitely more recharged c:

I struggle to answer this for a couple of reasons. First of all, depression is a way of life for me. Several decades of severe depression, it’s what I know. Second of all, from what I understand about “normal” people, they get wrapped up in their thoughts as well. So I think no matter what is going on with a person, they have a tendency to be stuck in a certain wavelength of thought.

I am being too technical but that is one of my brain flaws.

I think I would have to say that depression has its hold on my thought patterns quite strongly. Not letting anything else change its control of my life.

numb, helpless, fear

my heart beats so fast and I am shaking

i cry

I don‘t get lost, I am terribly aware of everything and my thoughts run so fast even I can‘t read them

i want to hug her so she feels okay and not numb and *** while I feel fear and desperation

but she pushes me away
