@tealGlobe7650 I can relate to your comment. My dad was angry 24/7 for nearly all my life. He passed away a few years ago. His anger got to me so bad in my 11th grade of school that I took my 11th and 12th grade together and worked a full time job every day just so I wouldn't have to be around him. It was so hard to do but I graduated a year early and as soon as I graduated I left home. I stoopped visiting him at all for the last serveral years of his life. I feel bad that I stopped visiting my dad and didn't have much of a relationship with him before he passed away. However, I was taking care of me. I could never do anything that was good enough for my dad. Even though I skipped a year of high school he didn't bother to come to my graduation. Same thing when I graduated from college, he didn't show up for it either. If you ever want to talk I'm here for you.

@tealGlobe7650 Hi, Your dad's anger issues may have some seasons. You may try to talk with your dad in a nice and safe way directly or through some family members and tell him that his anger is affecting you. Generally, children do not open up such issues with their parent due to fear or respect. Your dada be frustrated with something in his life and may or may not aware of his anger issue. Have a patience and keep your busy with various activities such as playing with family and friends, walking, listening to good music, etc. to overcome your sadness. I hope as you grow older you will manage it well. Please feel free to update your situation as there are many people on this forum are happy to help you. Do not feel you are alone, you have a community to support you.

@StayResilient17 Thanks for being there for us newbies! I'm so glad I have the time to volunteer here. Many of the things people discuss, I have been through myself! Especially, with Covid happening some people can't go to their therapist, afford it, or simple make it to their next appointment!
