i’ll try to explain the best i can.
“… but that man’s father is my father’s son.”
that man’s (boy in the photograph) father (which is himself) is my father’s son (so, he is the son of his father) and since the man have no brothers or sisters, it couldn’t be his nephew.

right? when i first saw it as well, it took a good while for me to try and guess the correct answer, then after i saw the answer, it took me another 100 years to try and make sense of it 😭 i’m glad i finally did, so i could explain it for you 💖
