How to help with nicotine and alcohol cravings? I have been on and off with the cigarettes… that’s always the hardest and as for drinking haven’t had any in almost 3 weeks but I also wouldn’t consider myself an alcoholic more just dependent on it, but I was able to stop all on my own so the question is… is it okay to drink once in awhile when you’re not considered an alcoholic?

Hello,

I think that you know yourself more

and thus your limits and boundaries are something you know best to decide on<3

at least better than us. <3

If you feel it is healthy then sure,

however, if you feel you can become too dependent on it, then it may be best to not.

best wishes💛✨

Ummm I use to struggle with nicotine and alcohol cravings. I havent' had a ciggerette in roughly a year, because that is the hardest part for me as well, as far as an occasional drink personally I stopped thinking I could do that for myself only because I would resort back ciggerettes and the endless cycle of addiction would occur for me, I can't handle a drink once in awhile i found that it hurts my sobriety

I personally can't just have that one drink. Good luck quitting though!

Thanks everyone. I have been doing okay. I have had a couple casual drinks but have been fine and not feeling intense cravings for the alcohol, but definitely the nicotine. I’ve been doing good again for the past three days, but who knows how long it will last. I know I want to quit again. I felt great when I wasn’t, but I also depend on nicotine to calm anxiety, stress, and to keep me awake since it makes your heart race faster.
