porn addiction
i've been addicted to porn for over about 4-ish years now. i didnt try quitting until last year when i realised it has become a true addiction and i cant help but search it up anytime i am by myself. i've lost all my attention span and i think it's purely because of that. so starting today, i want to hold myself accountable. i know there's going to be no linear progress, and i know i'll fail multiple times before i succeed, but i need to try, right?
from tomorrow, i'll try to update often and let you guys know how my progress is going. if anyone is in the same place as me, let's do this together and motivate each other to quit!! i'm finally ready for a new chapter of my life :)

Thank you for sharing something so personal and honest that takes real courage. Just admitting that something’s become a struggle and deciding to face it head-on is a massive first step, and you’ve already taken it. That’s not a small thing it’s brave, it’s strong, and it’s the beginning of change.
You’re absolutely right: progress isn’t linear. There will be days where it feels easier, and others where it feels impossible. But what matters most is that you keep choosing to try. Every time you fall and still decide to get back up that’s strength. That’s healing.
You’re not alone in this. So many people are fighting similar battles in silence, and by speaking up, you’re not only helping yourself you’re giving others permission to face their own struggles too.
Keep reminding yourself why you’re doing this because you deserve clarity, focus, and peace. You deserve to live a life that isn’t controlled by anything outside of your own will. And no matter how hard it gets, you’re not starting from zero you’re starting from experience.
We’re rooting for you. Every day you try, you’re rewriting your story. Keep going. You’ve got this.
I am too, and its tough. I keep finding myself in the situation when I'm alone. Im hoping i can change. Its something im not proud of.
@northernlights101 first day, done!! i feel a pretty happy about it because i had urges several times during the day, but i managed to control myself. many more days to come, i think :)
I can understand the line of thoughts and situations you must be going in your head.....I had this addiction too. And now I'm here for you if you want, together we'll help you fight your addiction urges and try our best to bring you the right path......just a message away!

App glitch!
I feel the same way. It wasn’t the main reason I joined 7 Cups, but it was definitely one of them. I’d love to join you on this journey—this issue has had a controlling impact on my life too. It’s honestly embarrassing to admit I struggle with it, but with support, I truly believe we can get through it together.

Dealing with porn addiction isn’t easy, and the fact that you’ve recognized the problem is already a massive first step. One many people never get to. I’m proud of you for that. It takes courage to face it and say, “I want to change.”
A lot of people think quitting will be quick or smooth, but the truth is, it’s often messy and hard. Porn addiction is powerful, just like any other addiction, but it is beatable. What matters most is setting realistic goals and being kind to yourself along the way.
You’ve been dealing with this for four years, so give yourself time. There will probably be relapses, that’s part of the process, not a failure. Every single step forward counts. Even one day without porn is progress, and you deserve to feel proud of that.
What really matters is that no matter how many times you fall, you keep choosing to stand up again. You’re not alone in this, there are people cheering you on. You’ve got this💓
@Yulianaxxp thank you so much for your words, woww!! they genuinely make me want to strive for more. i'll probably sign in only to look at your post whenever i feel demotivated tbh... thank you again!!
