Anxiety Check-in (●'◡'●)
Hello amazing people 😇
Let's have a check-in. How have you all been doing?
💚You can answer any of the following questions, or simply say hi. Any question on anxiety is welcome as well. Let's share our thoughts and support each other!
🌟1. How has your day or week been so far?
🌟2. How much is anxiety affecting your life these days?
🌟3. How are you currently taking your anxiety under control? and what benefits there is to take our anxiety under control?
Let's start with these simple questions, looking forward to hearing from you!
ice breaker: What's your favorite movie title? 🎥

@daydreammemories
🌟1. It's been exhausting and scary. I;ve been experiencing physical symptoms of a migraine/tension headache and it was going on for days. Could be stress related or severe, so I am trying to go to a medical provider to check it out, even though it has subsided for the most part.
🌟2. A LOT. Because I have been experiencing these symptoms, my anxiety has been through the roof. Like what if it's severe? If I experience specific symptoms, I need to go to the emergency room, etc. It sucks and I've been losing sleep. I just want everything to be okay.
🌟3. How are you currently taking your anxiety under control? and what benefits there is to take our anxiety under control? I'm trying to calm down by coloring, watching videos, journaling, and listening to music. But, I need better ways to calm down. I feel like I have chronic stress or something. And my anxiety makes it worse. And this is a serious problem because if I don't know how to get it under control, it can cause serious medical issues. I would like some advice on how to take anxiety under control more. Or at least calm it down. It would be helpful.
ice breaker: I like La La Land because of the music, story, and how beautiful the actual picture is. By music, I don't just mean the songs, but the actual score for the movie is beautiful as well.
@TheGrandDreamCollector
Hey buddy, I appreciate you opening up and taking the time to write us, I'm proud of you!
For me, massaging head, taking a nap, calm music, and tea helps for headaches. But going to a medical professional seems like a good plan!

And lala land is amazing :)
hi! im fairly new to 7 cups but i want to start coming on here more often cause i think it could benefit me a lot.
- my day started off really well but i just gave into a binge (i struggle with bed) which is taking quite a toll on me physically and mentally. as for my week it has been below okay but not horrible :/ mostly due to binging and being really critical of my body/weight
- i feel like anxiety has been affecting me a lot more recently bc of my weight and the way i view myself.
- obviously one way i cope with anxiety is by eating but that always makes me more anxious so idk im trying to figure out how to healthily cope with these uncomfortable emotions
any advice or support is welcomed :) sorry if i overshared

Hey! You're not oversharing at all, that's why the post exists :) I'm glad you opened up, and want to come to the platform.
I know eating can be a struggle.. for me chewing gum helps, or trying to eat my meals properly and on time, take care of yourself okay?💚😊

And we're rooting for you🍵 you got this.
1. Pretty messy, a lot of drama with my roommate's ex and having to change plans suddenly plus the whole EU election muss.
2. It's not been great but what can you do. There are a lot of factors like Uni, politics and the resulting ethical dilemmas and job insecuritiey I just can't solve.
3. I've been trying to face my fears a lot. Exposure therapy and all that jazz.
Favourite movie is probably either a superhero flick, I would say under the red hood or maybe something coming of age like perks of being a wallflower
@Lublack2
Hey! I'm really sorry about the stuff you're dealing with, and I hope it gets better soon. I know it's not easy, but I'm glad you took the time to write it down here, and you're always welcome to join as a member and talk as well! Thanks for being a listener, and thanks for sharing💚
I also love perks of being a wallflower :) I even read the book haha
@daydreammemories
1. My week has been good and bad, but at least it’s almost over
I think that I will have to say Into The Woods (musical) I know that’s not technically a movie but I’ve watched it recently and I genuinely had forgotten how much I loved it
1. How has your day or week been so far? My week has been very boring. I don't have a job right now and I'm trying to get back into college to stay occupied. I've been at home all week, playing games and just staying inside.
2. How much is anxiety affecting your life these days? My anxiety has transformed who I am completely. I no longer feel inclined to socialize or engage in outings; my introversion has deepened to the extent that I become silent in the presence of others. I often find myself consumed by hypothetical scenarios when considering socializing, ultimately resulting in the cancellation of plans and opting to remain at home.
3. How are you currently taking your anxiety under control? And what benefits are there to taking our anxiety under control? Currently, I rely on medication to maintain my mental well-being. I am in the process of finding a suitable therapist. Talking about my feelings, no matter how repetitive, has been the most effective way to manage my anxiety. Controlling anxiety provides a sense of empowerment and allows for emotional detachment.
@daydreammemories My week has been ok so far, recently I've started having thoughts of anxiety again. And it may sound odd but what set it off was thoughts of being in a closed room due to having to use a window a/c unit as it has gotten very hot in NJ. And it has perplexed me as to what was causing these feelings of dread. And then behold it came to me, it has to do with being alone. I've spent a good part of my life alone and I think it has finally gotten to me. I know being alone sometimes is ok but its not good almost all of time. I have found some comfort at coming here, posting and being in some of the live chats.
@daydreammemories
1. My day has been great! Went to the beach and walked for about 8 miles in the morning :)
My favorite movie has to be Home by DreamWorks.
1. My week has been extremely hectic, and just plain old bad
2. Anxiety has been heavily affecting my relationships with those I care about, recently. Anxiety pretty much rules my life when I don't follow my routines :((
3. I'm currently taking my Anxiety under control by incorporating more breathing exercises and healthy coping mechanisms into my everyday life, especially when I feel the weight of my anxiety
My favorite movie is The Godfather <3
@ambitiousEyes2123
Thank you for the update! Appreciated. It's awesome that you're trying to apply coping mechanisms, what skills are you using? You're doing awesome, and you got this💚
And Godfather for sure is a masterpiece!
