Colonscopy

Soooo i am almost 37 and i have a colonscopy on Thursday. Tomorrow i will have my first dose of preparation and then the second one in the early morning before the procedure. I'm overwhelmed with anxiety. For the preparation and also for the results. I am scared i will faint (i have very low tolerance to pain and i faint) and i will be up all night going the bathroom. Sigh

I think Colonoscophys are boring.

I understand and respect your fears and I hope you recover from this.

I am sending you good vibes ✨️  I hope things work out 🌟🌟

It's totally understandable to be nervous.

But you'll be in good hands, who knows what they are doing 🩷

Sending you my best and I hope you get through this without any issues and feel better soon!

Sorry that you are overwhelmed and scare, you should be fine. There no pain, they just put you to sleep & once you wake up, it over.

Only worst part for me was the preparation. Hope that helps.

Good luck

I'm pretty sure no one has ever said "Hooray!  I get to have a colonoscopy!!" :)

Honestly, the worst part of it is the prep.  Now, when I had my colonoscopy no one told me I could mix the prep with other things.  They just said "drink the prep."  UGH.  It was awful.  But you can mix it with other liquids to make it more palatable and easier to get down.  That was six years ago so I think they've made things a lot better since then.  My husband had his after mine and he had a much easier prep.

Just stay close to a bathroom. :)  After that, the procedure itself was simple.  For me, it was going to a room, getting changed, and then the medical "crew" all came by to introduce themselves, ask if I had any questions, and that's it.  Wheeled into the procedure room.  We talked about restaurants and eating and then they give you the anesthesia.  I'm not sure how long I was out, but then I wake up in another area where they give me something to drink, make sure I'm good and awake, get dressed and wheel me out to my driver.

It's not fun, but it's a necessary test that will help you with your health.  It's going to be okay.

Yes im more scared of the prep honestly. Ill be only sedated not fully anhestesia tho. Im in italy sigh

@sympatheticSquare6031. I agree with everyone the prep is the hard part. Let us know how things went if you can afterwards.

I understand how anxious you feel right now. I recently did an endometrial biopsy and I felt the same way. However I had to go through it because I knew there was nothing else I could do. Just know that you are not alone. You will certainly be fine. Keep your faith alive. Hugs 🤗❤️

How did it go?  How are you feeling today?

you will be fine, the worst part of it is the prep. They knock you out and when you wake, it will all be said and done. There is no pain just maybe some flatulence 🤭🤭🤣
